In a recent attempt to understand how conventional physics “explains” reality, I began to read Lawrence Krauss’ A Universe from Nothing

Krauss is one of those famous scientists like Richard Dawkins who doesn’t find anything strange about the fact that existence IS.

Instead he takes EVERYTHING for granted and attacks, like Dawkins and Bill Maher, the low hanging fruit of organized religion and its dogmatic, unproven Gods created in our image.

When I tried reading his book I got a bit frustrated and then checked the index for the word “consciousness,” and when I did not find it, I put the book aside.

The question really is — “what” exactly is “nothing”?

First and foremost it is a concept. Nothing does not exist. What exists is, well, everything.

Nothing is the word or placeholder we use for null — similar to zero in math — but in both cases (words and math) they are human abstractions or interpretations of Nature.  As such they are a step removed from reality and flawed by the limitations of our own perceptions  and consciousness — a fact that escapes many modern physicists but which was in fact apparent to great thinkers like Einstein and Schrodinger.

As I’ve noted, we can use the concept “infinitely large” to “understand” the truth about — and yet, for example, while we know what a prime number is, and we know that there must ALWAYS be one larger, we are incapable of going to the “next” larger prime without — now — a supercomputer. We can’t identify the greatest prime, but we can inadequately describe it as “infinite,” and as soon as we do we know that, yes, there must be another.

How he finds geometry within a vacuum, or what science deems to be “nothing,” is similar in my view to finding code (DNA) running in our cells.

His description of a mathematical geometric structure potentially at the heart of nature (or a vacuum — or “nothing”) that has energy flowing equally in all (infinite) directions is to me very dramatic.

It “resonates” profoundly (Nassim’s website is the Resonance Academy) with the notion of dimensions that was described in a recent article on similar thinkers.

What I loved about the video above is how it directly supports the notion of “As Above So Below” in the same way propounded by Rodney Collin — that 3D may be infinite at a lower scale; that is perceived as a line a level below (2D) and as a point (one dimension) from another level “lower (1D).”

(So that, for example, what we deem “infinite” as the Universe is limited in our view (by our instruments) to a perspective related to our relative (smaller) scale.  A year for us is but a moment for the Sun, or more accurately its relatively shorter movement in its scale).

Nassim also relates this sacred geometry to nature, pointing out the ubiquity of Phi (the Fibonacci sequence) in how life manifests, among many other examples, and of course relating both Phi and Pi to the ancient monuments of Egypt and other civilizations that did not suffer from our own myopic scientific constraints.

Here is a wonderful description of this phenomenon, known as “Vector Equilibrium“:

ve

“It was Buckminster Fuller who discovered the significance of the full vector symmetry in 1917 and called it the Vector Equilibrium in 1940. With all vectors being exactly the same length and angular relationship, from an energetic perspective, the VE represents the ultimate and perfect condition wherein the movement of energy comes to a state of absolute equilibrium, and therefore absolute stillness and nothingness.”

According to the physics of Nassim Haramein:

“…the 64 tetrahedron grid is the seed geometry of what eventually becomes, with more and more octave growth, the infinite holofractographic vacuum structure of the entire universe.

nassim tetrahedron

As well:

  • 64 codons in human DNA.
  • 64 hexagrams in the I Ching.
  • 64 sexual positions in the Kama sutra.
  • 64 classical arts listed in many Indian scriptures.
  • 64 “tantras” (books) of the “tantrism,” which is a form of Hinduism.
  • 64 is the maximum number of strokes in any Chinese character.
  • 64 is the number of cells we have before our cells start to bifurcate (differentiate) shortly after conception.
  • 64 is fundamental in computer memory bits and coding.
  • 64 things are needed to be able to approach the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord according to the 2 copper scrolls that were found among the 300 Dead Sea Scrolls.
  • 64 is encoded in the description of the Tetragrammaton in the Hebrew Bible, which is the 4-letter theonym YHWH which means God in Hebrew.
  • 64 is the number of generations from Adam until Jesus according to the Gospel of Luke.
  • 64 forms or manifestations of the Lord Shiva in Hinduism
  • 64 squares on chess and checker boards.
  • 64 Braille characters in the old 6-dot system
  • 64 demons in the Dictionnaire Infernal
  • 64 is the smallest number with exactly seven divisors.
  • Even The Beatles knew: “When I’m 64” (hehe)

This all could, of course, just be a coincidence…” (Nassim’s Facebook Page)

(Note:  I find the use of the word “octave” extremely interesting in the context of how Gurdjieff and Ouspensky use this same term for the energetic unfolding of everything in their cosmology.)

This is the essence of both number and dimension to me, then — both are pointers, as are most philosophical statements, to a greater Truth that we can only know beyond the intellectual — that Being is a vastly infinite and intelligence field in which “we” (another unexplained concept) operate temporarily.

And the true science that can help describe it needs to be not only “scientific” but also reverently “Sacred” in the face of its immensity.

This is a notion to which today’s most vocal atheists remain oblivious.

  1. The balancing of feminine and masculine energies, presented in between the lines of this article, reminded me today of an hilarious event in the Greek Railway Station of Athens. Me and my boyfriend were planning to travel back to Holland, after a holiday and as his condition required transport on wheels, we had to bring our vehicle through the Greek customs. It’s a bike with a chair in it and a saddle at the back, a 3 wheeled rare vehicle with a motor. The customs empoyees, all men, required proof of this vehicle being a necessary item for my boyfriend who hardly could walk, due to his spastic condition.
Their logic was “If he’s in need of it he should sit in it all the time, but we can’t see him sitting in it and therefore it’s not what he says it is and it should be paid for as a normal transport vehicle”

Of course, we had no defense against that logic and my boyfriend had already lost his temper completely, which didn’t help much, but enlarged the whole hilarious scenery before my eyes.
The employees of customs and the train controllers were in high feverish talks, about 15 of them, in the middle of the Railway Station Hall.

The moment of departure of our train, with each of us in it with a ticket for that train on that date, came very near and I began to loose my temper too, almost. Suddenly, a woman arrived in the group of men, who were bickering and arguing in circles without an end. She raised her voice, looked them all in the eye and said “This man and woman are now entering the train, with their vehicle, that’s final” and all the men began to hurry and run to all four directions at the same time, which was even more hilarious!

Two minutes later we sat in the train, looking out of the window, while the landscape began to move….
I’ll never forget that moment of feminine power wiping the masculine bickering and mental acrobatics off the table, this walking along the rules and regulations and who’s right or who’s wrong. I’m writing this now with a big grin…uhmm, smile on my face lol

  2. There’s often a pleasant synchronicity in how I stumble on articles and find dots waiting to be connected. For my mind as well as my inner stirrings, the toads jumping out of the cauldron lol

This article offers thoughts munched upon. Such as this ”
Balance is thought to be important to healthy living and prosperity, and balance can only be achieved where both the human and the nonhuman are in constant conversation. As such listening is a key component of the healer’s work, and the edges are the right aesthetic and figurative conditions for the keener kinds of listening required”.

  3. As a woman I can totally get it, the existence of emptiness and fullness. We’ve got a real and interesting challenge in our 3D world with spoken and written words, to find the right expression of emptiness. Void.

That challenge is visible in the human attempts to grasp the meaning of mindfulness. Many people who live in the comfortable box can’t grasp the essence of mindfulness, also due to the somewhat misleading construction of the word “mindFULness” as if it’s about achieving something in existence.

In a humorous way, I witness people practicing mindfulness with a mind totally occupied with being mindful and making efforts to be mindful, according to that same mind’s concept. Fully engaged in “working on it”, with one’s mind. The effective approach in mindfulness is in essence “mindemptiness”.
As in replacing the mind by the observer’s stance and “be” with what presents itself, all inclusive but in a state of emptiness. Empty of the windmills of our mind that is so very comfortable with control.

That’s where the nature of nothingness and the blackness of the void meets discomfort in our modern world of the mind and concepts that are forced upon us and meant to be lived by and obeyed.

Before manifestation becomes tangible, a void is present. In the Biblical Genesis there’s an attempt to describe this presence “In the beginning there was the word and the word was God” and something about “God’s spirit moved over the waters of the Earth” if I remember correctly. To me that’s all about an expectancy in an emptiness that was present before God decided to experience itself in a myriad of creation-sparks. Finding “playmates” as it were, which are in essence co-creators, after God became aware of being alone and bored.

That moment before creation is the presence of expectancy, a silent waiting that is full of promise or potential. It’s where the spark of consciousness ignites the process of creation. See the resemblance with the human conception in the womb and in beings that give birth to offspring after mating?

On a level of our human-ness, where our mind is put to rest, that void or nothingness is the space where, apart from our potential, also our unconsciousness resides and our darkness, preferably safely tucked away. That’s how humanity has chosen the ruling mind, in order to survive, since material substance took over and success is a must. Failure is “not done” and our present society is harshly dealing with failure as we witness around us.

The rhinoceros on our planetary dinnertable is huge and the longer we ignore that beast, the harder it is to befriend it and tame it, so that it can learn to trust us and be at ease, revealing its story to us so that we can begin to understand and connect a lot of dots.

In a small way, here’s an example in daily life, the practice of mindfulness to many who live in a consumer-lifestyle and in an attitude of entitlement. When someone decides to break a non-serving to self habit by constantly trying to avoid it and judge it in emotional turmoil as soon as the nagging of that “little devil” pops up, which it will relentlessly of course, due to being put under pressure. The mental acrobatics of most human minds divides everything in 2’s: good and bad, right and wrong, selfconsciousness and contemplation in emptiness. It seems that the presence of both is impossible,
to our divided left and right hemispheres.

That’s very often how the practice of mindfulness is approached. Coming from fullness of an image, a concept, an expectation accompanied by judgment. It’s an approach that stems from the materialistic perspective on our life’s comfort, the fullness of our ego-self, our inner tyrant which doesn’t want to reflect on itself, full of a self-image and the images that it thinks it needs to embody, projected outwardly, keeping up appearances. That’s the fulness of service to self, being constantly in the way of one’s emptiness that contains the observer in us. The world’s a stage and we’re merely… players” is that what Shakespeare meant?

Being the observer that observes one’s human acrobatics as a human being requires a state of beingness that is witness and activist to the stampede passing by. A stampde that represents our mindful creations of what we think we are, we should be, we thing we have to be, the tales of our ego. To see all that in an untouched state but fully engaged at the same time, that’s where fullness and emptiness becomes one. To our divided hemispheres it’s a contradiction in terminus, but to me It’s the essence of mindfulness.

Remember this expression “And never the twain shall meet?” That’s how I choose to place this expression as a confirmation instead of a negative “And now the twine shall meet” at the gate of our initiation process, the embodying of our soul in our physical manifestation on planet Earth now.
To be present in all that shows up in our life and observe this from an emptiness that is full at the same time. It’s similar to the eyes of the fishes, forming the Yin-Yang symbol, which show the colour of the other’s companion. In a riddle that goes like this “Same and not same”

Ending with a technical issue, when I read this “What I loved about the video above is how it directly supports the notion of “As Above So Below”….” I began looking for the video. Where is it Edward Morgan?
