(Natural News) When you go into a large supermarket, the number of food options you have to choose from is almost overwhelming. Just five feet from the main entrance, shoppers are immediately inundated with Oreos, Pringles, 2-liter bottles of soda, cases of water, candy, and various other snacks. Walking through the aisles, it’s common to see waffles, salsa, yogurt, coffee, juice, various kinds of cereal, and hundreds of other foods and drinks. Amazingly, there is one thing that nearly every single item inside of a typical grocery store has in common – they are all produced by just 10 international corporations.

The companies include Nestle, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Danone, General Mills, Associated British Foods, Kellogg’s, Mars, and Mondelez, and each of them employs thousands of people and profits billions of dollars in annual revenue. Below is a breakdown of each of these global corporations and what it is that they produce:

Kellogg’s

With a 2016 revenue of $13 billion, Kellogg’s is perhaps best known for cereal like Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, and Corn Pops. However, most people are unaware that Kellogg’s also owns brands like Eggo, Pringles, Cheez-It, Pop-Tarts, Nutri-Grain, and Vanilla Wafers. In November of last year, Kellogg’s announced that the company was pulling all of their ads from Breitbart.com due to the fact that the conservative website was not “aligned with our values as a company.” As a result, Breitbart launched a #DumpKelloggs petition and encouraged their readers to boycott.

Associated British Foods

In 2016, Associated British Foods collected a total revenue of $16.8 billion. The company owns several different brands, including Dorset Cereals, Twinings tea, Allied Mills, Westmill Foods, Speedbaker, and the retailer Primark.

General Mills

Just shy of Associated British Food’s 2016 revenue, General Mills collected $16.6 billion last year. General Mills owns many popular cereal brands such as Cheerios, Chex, Kix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reeses Puffs, Trix, Cocoa Puffs, and Lucky Charms. Other non-cereal brands owned by General Mills include Yoplait, Hamburger Helper, and Betty Crocker.

Danone

Danone is a corporation that is best known for yogurt. With a 2016 revenue of $23.7 billion, Danone owns Activia, Yocrunch, and Oikos, in addition to various nutrition products. Danone also owns some bottled water brands like Aqua and Evian.

Mondelez

Mondelez owns several popular snacking brands such as Oreo, Chips Ahoy, Sour Patch Kids, Cadbury, Trident Gum, Ritz, Triscuit, and Wheat Thins. Mondelez collected $25.9 billion in 2016.

Mars

Mars is a corporation that is best known for chocolate. With $35 billion collected in 2016, Mars owns Dove Chocolate, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way, Snickers, M&M’s, Twix and several other chocolate-based snacks. Additionally, Mars also owns Uncle Ben’s rice, Combos, Starburst, and Orbit gum.

Coca-Cola

Perhaps one of the most popular corporations in existence in Coca-Cola, which owns dozens of different beverages from Spite to Fanta, Dasani to Minute Maid, Fresca to Mellow Yellow. Coca-Cola took in a whopping $41.9 billion in 2016.

Unilever

Though perhaps Unilever isn’t the most well-known corporation in existence, it owns dozens of brands that most people use on a regular basis. With a 2016 revenue of $48.3 billion, Unilever owns Axe body spray, Lipton tea, Hellmann’s mayonnaise, Dove, Degree deodorant, Vaseline and Ben & Jerry’s.

PepsiCo

The obvious brand owned by PepsiCo is the incredibly popular soft drink Pepsi. Other than soda, though, PepsiCo also owns Quaker Oatmeal, Gatorade, Cheetos, Tropicana, Tostitos, Lays potato chips, and Starbucks ready to drink beverages. PepsiCo collected $62.8 billion in 2016.

Nestle

Incredibly, the Nestle Corporation took in an astonishing $90.2 billion in 2016. In addition to popular candy brands such as Butterfinger and KitKat, Nestle also owns Gerber baby food, Perrier, Coffee-Mate, DiGiorno, Hot Pockets, Friskies and Purina.

  1. Modern warfare hinges on placing “sanctions” on other nations. This is basically boycotting that country by not buying their products and not sending them aid, trade items, medicine etc. We The People nearly have no power left as ‘protests’ have been accomodated by the PTB. Most of the products the companies above produce are poison – sugar, chemical salt, chemical preservatives, refined grains – this is not food – it is oral stimulation and ultimately poison. There are two powers that technology is making accessible to us to fight globalism and “1984” – one is internet news programs like the Young Turks and Common Dreams and many others – the other is boycotting companies like the ones above. If We The People would get organized and stage selective boycotts of vulnerable companies – we would bring the corporate world to its knees. We pick a candy bar, soda pop brand, gasoline brand, car brand – whatever and BOYCOTT IT TO DEATH. Kill one company at a time. Most corporations are far more vulnerable than we realize. They are constantly using their profit margin to invest in takeovers, propping up a failing marketing program, expanding global advertising – so that if the profit from one little candy bar is suddenly not available, it impacts a breakfast cereal or a salad dressing that the company is propping up with sales of the candy bar. We have power here!
It’s not a very developed channel but let’s start a dialogue about this at YouTube channel ‘Boycott It To Death!’ : )

    • What I prefer as form of boycott, dagaanDagaan, is a simple solution to me. Walking away from the scene of crime, without organizing or forcing much. To me, it’s the most common sense decision to stop buying the products of these 10 corporations. That will suffice. When residents of a British town decide to ignore a Tesco supermarket, opening its doors, Tesco needs to leave. We, the people in the streets, have that much power!

By taking care of our own digestive system and thus.. our wellbeing, which is equal to our autonomy, as I perceive it, we can choose our diet, our food and drinks, based on intuition and the use of common sense. We’re free to choose organic quality, prefarably grown with the help of our own hands, to make it cheaper and fresher as well. Tastier.

Many people are buying cheap, when the choice of food is concerned, specially here in rural Britain. Many don’t take into account that on the long run they pay a price for the harm done to the soil and the bees, buying products that originate from land farmed with RoundUp and a harvest, grown from genetically modified seeds.

I’m from the early 50’s, when diet was simple and sober in Holland. We knew the people who gave us meat, from cattle farms. The families were members of our church, with my father as minister. I can remember, me and my sister crawling under the gooseberry shrubs in my grandparents garden in Frysia. The simplicity of life and the nearness of local food and useful things, the relationship with those who cared for our food and domestic comfort, served our health, our wellbeing.

It may be that we return to that simplicity in the near future or begin to choose it now, as we speak.
The circumstances in our life that are most apt to our own influence, are those most close to us. Where does your food come from? Where is your water? Who has built your home? This view on our life condition probably takes a shift of consciousness for many, to get that, for as this article shows, we’re lured away from sovereignty in our homes, our fridge and our pans on the stove.

      • I’m also from the early 50’s and lived in Mexico as an American child. One time I stayed with the Indian family of our maid (we we’re rich – everyone had maids) and helped slaughter a turkey for the common dinner. I slept on a reed mat in a room of an adobe house with a boy my age. One morning before he went to school he went out and killed a little bird with his slingshot and left it by my pillow for breakfast!
It was simpler time for me too like yours in Holland.

I do think we should organize and BOYCOTT IT TO DEATH! as otherwise we’re just waiting for the global economy to crash or mass riots by the young families that can’t afford their own apartments and can’t afford organic food. So – if anyone else is motivated – contact me at my YouTube channel – BOYCOTT IT TO DEATH!

  2. The deeper you dive into the food fountain the muddier it gets. Thank you for this summary
of the 10 corporations that run most people’s digestive system. It’s going to change, with all
awakening to this truth. Our individual support and guardian, our spirit being, is gradually
taking over the program of our digestive system. We are awakening on all levels, each in
her or his own time, more or less pushed and triggered to alertness, red orange or green.

This text is from a book “Image of Tarot” by Jan Ton, a Dutch teacher/writer.
It’s the essence of Swords in the Tarot deck, according to Jan Ton’s views in this book.
To me, he’s very clear in his understanding the competition between our physical body
    and our spiritual being:

“Great knowledge sees all in one.
Small knowledge breaks down into the many.
When the body sleeps the soul is enfolded in one.
When the body awakes, the openings begin to function.
They resound with every encounter, with all the varied businesses of life.
The strivings of the heart, men are blocked, perplexed, lost in doubt.

Little fears eat away their peace of heart, great fears swallow them whole.
Arrows, shot at a target, hit and miss…right and wrong.
This is what men call judgment, decision.
The pronouncements are as final as treaties between emperors.
    Oh…they make their point.
Yet, their arguments fall faster and feebler.
Like dead leaves in autumn and winter.
Their talk flows like piss, never to be recovered.
They stand at last, blocked, bound and gagged.
Choked up like old drain pipes.
    The mind fails.

It shall not see the light again.
One may well suppose the true governor to be behind it all.
That such a power works I can believe!
I cannot see his form, he acts, but has no form”.

The “he” in the last sentence is our Spiritual Being.
