The human condition at present is one of slavery, a new kind of slavery, where bondage is psychological and spiritual rather than physical. Human consciousness is the target in a broad war of control where people willingly acquiesce to social conditions which clearly fail to serve their best interests, even doing them harm.

We accept the status quo of warfare, fear, environmental destruction, greed, corruption, poisoned health and false scarcity because we’ve been herded into traps which hold us hostage with false beliefs and the appearance of comfort. In reality, though, breaking through these traps would allow us to apply the principles of peace, sustainability, exploration, acceptance and progress to improving the human condition.

Firstly, though, we have to see and acknowledge the boundaries of the prison we are in.

“There’s five essential boxes for human consciousness, there’s five things that shut human consciousness down. Five models that attempt to keep people rigidly inside of their walls. And if you’re inside these boxes, you’re not going to expand your awareness to understand the actual truth of what’s going on in our world.” ~Mark Passio

1. Politics

“If anybody identifies with left or right, conservative Republican, liberal Democrat, etc…” ~Mark Passio

The self-identification with a particular political party is one of the most divisive states of consciousness there is in our world today. This is clearly evident in the quality and character of public discourse and how it merges with financial interests to create stress, pressure and conflict at every level of society.

2. Religion

The major cultural religions of the world are perhaps the greatest trap for human consciousness ever devised and put to use as a means of controlling people. This has been corrupting the world and killing people for thousands of years. The acceptance of the possibility of a better existence after death is an excuse to ignore the quality of life one is living in this existence, and is used as an excuse to participate in wickedness.

We of course see how this paradigm is being used against us today to create a major riff among the people of the earth as global leaders push for a new religious war pitting Islam against Christianity. No one can win if this battle is allowed to escalate.

3. Scientism

“Not what I call real science, but what I call ultra rigid skepticism in the form of quote/unquote science, that’s peddled for modern science in today’s world.” ~Mark Passio

Science has become a religion of sorts, where ideas are vetted in a strange process of study mixed with peer review, mixed with corporate and monetary influence, mixed with egos. In this paradigm, there is no room for ideas which challenge long-held assumptions and theories about the world, stifling human progress.

Rebel researchers like Graham Hancock and Rupert Sheldrake, are examples of how interesting ideas about where the human is coming from and where it is headed are shut down by the rigid thinking of a scientific world which pushes wholesale skepticism as affable quality.

“Science places itself on a pedestal and assures everyone it has dispassionately arrived at its conclusions. Meanwhile, however, it is full of assumptions, denials and limitations, and makes the serious mistake of presenting its theories as facts. The errors of mainstream science are gladly seized upon by technocrats, eager to use science and technology to further their own ambitions of control… ~Makia Freeman

4. The New Age Movement

Another box for human consciousness which is relatively new in our world is the New Age Movement, which abandons genuine science in favor of feel good platitudes which keep people sidelined from taking action and fully participating in our world. It is a unique, open source belief system which

It’s tenets are described by the following 10 bullets here:

1. Ignore the “Negative”

2. Never Get Angry

3. It’s All One, So it’s All Good

4. You Can Never Really Know

5. Accept Injustice, Never Resist

6. A Watered-Down Law of Attraction

7. Turning the Other Cheek (it evens out the scars!)

8. Chaos Should Be Feared

9. We Must Feel Good all the Time

10. Truth Doesn’t Need to be Defended

~Mark Passio

5. The Monetary System – The General Belief in Money

This is the greatest trap of all, enslaving nearly everyone on our planet. At the root of this deception is the general belief in money, that is, in the belief that money has more value than life itself and is therefore more precious than anything life has to offer. Because of this, countless schemes, scams, fiat systems, debt-enslavement programs, frauds, and thefts are able to syphon the energy and time of human beings, leading us nowhere but to our own ruin.

The monetary system we have today operates in this way, with a tiny ruling elite having devised and now controlling an international system of manipulation which gives unlimited power to those who create money without having to produce anything of actual value.

Final Thoughts

It is impossible to understand the conflict, chaos and division in our world without understanding the ways in which human consciousness is limited, corralled and enslaved by these paradigms. At this point in the age of communication, however, it takes a certain willfulness to continue to operate within these five boxes.

“It’s much easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled — such is the nature of confirmation bias and other psychological tools of manipulation. Breaking free of the ancient, historical ‘constant’ of mind control is an ongoing process of waking up out of a state of denial. Spiritual emergence and awakening involves a physiological break from the consensus social agreements of our planetary cultures.” ~Karlos Kukuburra

  1. It takes trust in yourself and a kind of determind courage, to break out of the mass thinking. It is truly an isolating exerience, with accusations of insanity even sometimes; it is trying when continually posting things for ordinary people, to empower them and get us all out of harsdhip, and there is not one like.
I also feel the part of the new agers is not totally just and judgemental, from my view. I think we are one conscious field, and judements are an antithesis to this. They have increased the planetory vibrations and done good with ecological projects etc. and all are different. They kind of prepared the way. Cobra himself consistently advises keep up to date, but focus on the light. We are stuck in a deliberate AI simulation, Maya, really a projection, so what is focused on a lot can be reflected back.
I love a Christ Consciousness meditation; it says ” I deny the REALITY of evil etc..because it is FAKE. It is fake in that it was dreamed up and not the true substance of the Universe. So all that IS is good, in terms of the creators work, but humans changed and messed it all; So I believe in the perception of evil, but not the power, when the crunch comes. It does not stop me being proactive, but I am careful regarding terminology. The tragedy of Religion is undeniable. But some people have used it to do good, and find their way home. I don’t regard yogis and Bhuddism as religion.’ I know the latter has been tweaked, but the gentleness, peace, loving kindness and focus on meditation endears and helps me.I do
some of these practices most days. It makes you less reactive with a much wiser perspective. I could not manage without Metta. If someone has upset you, doing that takes resentment out of my heart. They taught me to meditate properly, a lot of the charming, modern ones are nice, but they won’t teach you to be so aware of your thoughts, be as responsible and to control the mind and wake up.

  2. One of my last sentencess got cut off, and at that late hour I failed to proof it.

“If we are true to ourselves, then Divine Truth is easy to see, although some will need help learning to shut out the world noise and listen to their own voice.”

  3. Oh yes, that’s a good one “We must feel good all the time” as a New Age slogan. Another one is, I heard it recently from someone who left a group “Oh no, let’s not address our negative side, let’s not go into our unconscious, for we will invite evil entitities that way!” Ha! This is a good article, it’s clear.

I like the name Sigmund Fraud, excellent! I’m sure there are many ways to find out where the traps are in our mind and quacking duck orations. To me, nature seems to increasingly show me the best teachings for discernment and understanding of my human nature and where I’m going against it.

The cycle of life and death is so beautifully present without any form of judgment or feeling sorry for itself, in nature. All moves in a whirling wholeness. Panta Rei. Here’s an interview with Sylvie Ivanova from Newearth with Carlos Tanner, an American man who became an ayahuasca student and now works with it, healing and teaching for more than a decade.

The questions and answers are genuine and I highly recommend Sylvie’s YouTube channel Newearth.
She’s giving valuable insight in Earth’s cultural history, through footage of megaliths and landmarks all over the world. in beautiful imagery and explanations using her own voice in a style of presentation that always makes me smile. Sylvie’s taken part in Ayahuasca ceremonies herself, it’s why she knows Carlos Tanner. There’s great teaching in her work, as I perceive it. Just find what’s valuable in it for you.

  4. I also disagree with the blanket generalization of New Agers. Your view seems to embrace the same misguided assumptions those you refer to possess, yet they are in the minority of those of us who consider ourselves to be New Agers.

As a New Ager* I have to disagree with all of your assertions. (*since my energetic wake-up call, the Harmonic Convergence in 1987- I heard of it but my boyfriend and i were doing our usual Sunday thing, riding motorcycles, road-racing with the boys on the Sunday Morning Ride. I wanted to go check out the group gathering on Mt. Tam for the Harmonic Convergence, but he nay-sayed it, so we rode on.)

Your points on the left – followed by my responses:

    1. Ignore the “Negative” – The negative, buy its nature, draws our attention for a reason, whereas sometimes we have to work at seeing the positive. Negativity indicates something that needs healing, whether within ourselves or out in the world (often both). It is thus a catalyst for positive change, if we take action on it, without getting drawn down my it.

    2. Never Get Angry – I am famous for my French temper, and vocal, especially when it comes to injustice, corruption, lies, subterfuge. I always speak my mind, regardless of who it offends. Hopefully I can speak my truth with love, in a way that can be heard.

    3. It’s All One, So it’s All Good – While we strive for Unity, clearly we’re not there yet. It’s all good is a phrase commonly used in California, where I used to live for decades. It really just implies we shouldn’t sweat the small stuff. It doesn’t mean violations are OK.

    4. You Can Never Really Know – If one works on developing intuition and clarity, one will know things for certain even without “proof”.

    5. Accept Injustice, Never Resist – This is a fallacy. No one in the New Age advocates that we be pushovers and doormats. There are various ways we can express our opposition to the status quo and specific injustices. Sometimes the pen is mightier than the sword, other times showing up just to be present at a protest is appropriate. violence and vandalism is never acceptable, but this does not make us weak.

    6. A Watered-Down Law of Attraction – When we truly understand the Law of Attraction, magic happens and our desires manifest effortlessly. When we are out of synch, more self-care and gratitude is in order to get things flowing again.

    7. Turning the Other Cheek (it evens out the scars!) – Forgiveness is not about saying “what you did is OK.” Forgiveness is about moving on, regardless of what happened. It is about making peace with it, so that YOU can move forward with YOUR OWN life, regardless of the other person involved.

    8. Chaos Should Be Feared – Chaos Theory would be a good thing to study and understand. Chaos is part of natural cycles, thus we know things will evntually smooth out, and our efforts towards co-creation can help to this effect.

    9. We Must Feel Good all the Time – In fact, because 3D is a world of duality, we would never really feel good at all if not for our less jubilant times and negative experiences, from which we can always learn and grow stronger. Quiet time alone and/or in nature is excellent for working through challenges on one’s own. It is perfectly OK to experience negative emotions and express them in a safe manner that does not cause harm to others. Journaling is excellent tool for fathoming intense emotions and gaining insight.

    10. Truth Doesn’t Need to be Defended – “Truth” is quite subjective in our society, because many people still subscribe to the most popular belief systems…but Divine Truth will eventually be understood, and will prevail in the end. If we are true to ourselves, then Divine Truth is easy to see, although some will need.

I hope my perspective has been helpful.

    -Phoenix Boulay

  5. I disagree with many of the points made about the New Age movement. The emphasis after 1970 was to focus on Eastern religious principals rather than old Christian doctrines. Ironically, Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within you, and that is where New Age adherents went. Some people are more interested in Spirituality than politics. They shouldn’t be criticized for that. They should be praised for caring about Truth at all in a Materialist society. More people should reach enlightenment, not less. The great leaders were usually those who were profoundly spiritually advanced, not those who were just political activists.
