By Shari Bitsis, Co-facilitator of the PFC Nature Restoration Group

Prepare for Change’s Nature Restoration Group has been in existence for about 3 years. During that time we have built strong bonds as a group of passionate Nature Lovers who share a common vision of creating a healthy planet that is the embodiment of Unity Consciousness. We stress the importance of building a personal relationship with the spirit of the planet and we encourage activities and livelihood that directly connect us with our Beloved Earth.

Each month Prepare for Change website will be featuring reposts from our Nature Restoration Website. This month we would like to feature two of our members and their contributions – Antoine Prins and Margot Gels. Antoine and Margot are the owners of Le Rêve de Gaïa.

According to their website, ” ‘Le Rêve de Gaïa’ is an eco-preneurial project that aims to create a self sustainable living system where we form conditions under which humans, animals and nature can exist in productive harmony. Herewith, we would like to set an example of how sustainable practices from different aspects can easily be integrated in everyone’s lives. By doing so, we hope to inspire others.”

The Mission & Vision of Le Rêve de Gaïa

The main goal of Le Rêve de Gaïa is to set an example for a self sustainable living environment for humans, animals and nature. By providing concrete techniques and practices Antoine and Margot hope to inspire others to adopt some of these into their own lives. Since its existence, mankind has learned to live as an integrated part of nature. The following video highlights five aspects within the Le Rêve de Gaïa project:

Living from the forest
Living from agriculture
Living with animals
Sustainable construction
The magic of life

Antoine and Margot are walking their talk and, as they work through the daily challenges of rediscovering the ancient practices of the past and merging those practices with an ascending consciousness, they become trail blazers who will model the future Earth communities that will be an embodiment of Unity Consciousness.

Join Antoine for his Monthly Class on Saturday, June 12th

Antoine contributes a monthly post to the Nature Restoration website. This month’s topic is: Exotic Species in Nature

In addition, Antoine has created a monthly class/talk based on the topic of his last written article. In this month’s class, Antoine will discuss exotic species and invasive exotic species and their effects on our environment. He will feature a little presentation with some photos to visualize problems and solutions and of course a Q&A.

Antoine’s classes are educational and fun. Both adults and older children enjoy Antoine’s kind and witty demeanor. In fact, some of the best questions have been those asked by the children.

Request an invitation to the group by sending an Email to [email protected] with your name, email address, and reason for participation. You will receive an email reply with the zoom link prior to the meeting.

Once a member of the group, you will receive weekly notices of the calls and topics of discussion.

Contribution from Margot

The Nature Restoration website is a complete collaboration of all the members within the group but it would definitely not have been created without the efforts and technological skills of Margot, along with another very creative and skilled member, Kat. Kat and Margot are the main admins of the site.

In addition, like our other members, Margot contributes content to the website, particularly the Nature and Our Planet section. Below is a taste of one of Margot’s contributions:

What is Permaculture Gardening?

Permaculture is an increasingly popular term often heard in environmental, homesteading, and gardening communities. It can be seen as a toolbox of ideas for gardeners and farmers. In essence, it is a system used to design an agricultural landscape that works with nature, rather than against it. The tools that are used within permaculture can help to restore nature, land and the yield of food for humans.

Permaculture touches a wide range of disciplines, which makes…
