Walt Disney's Studio's was the only Private owned Motion Picture Company that was not controlled by outsiders 1928-1966. Hours after Pearl Harbor his studio was Occupied by the United States Army. No other Studio was singled out this way. During the war years Mr. Disney made numerous Propaganda films for the government. Disney was several million dollars in debt by the end of the war. Walt Disney survived an almost bankrupt studio from his past war Mickey Mouse character of 1928.
Walt always felt persecuted by Union Activist and became suspicious of competitors. It would be Walt Disney's death in 1966 that would begin years of hard work to unravel. The Disney family would be manipulated for years while trying to remain in control of the Company. No one could replace the special qualities it took. By 1984 the Walt Disney's Studio's would go through a Hollywoodization process that would not involve Loyalist from Walt himself. The Disney name merged now with ABC Incorporated. These shrewd business people recognized the value of the Disney Name and Library.
Moral of the history here is a Good Man's Name has been incorporated with Trash that he and his family had nothing to do with.
