Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip killed at least 80 more Palestinians, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza said on Monday that 1,001 people had been killed in the Palestinian territory since Israel resumed large-scale strikes on March 18.
The Israeli army on Monday issued fresh evacuation orders to Palestinians in multiple areas of Rafah, deepening the humanitarian crisis as deadly attacks continue.

Israeli army killed over 1,400 medical staff in Gaza since start of genocide: Officials
The Israeli army has killed at least 1,402 medical personnel and 111 civil defense personnel in the Gaza Strip since the start of the US-backed genocide, according to a statement released by Gaza’s Government Media Office on 31 March.
Moreover, 362 health workers and 26 civil defense staff have been arrested since 7 October 2023, including three doctors tortured to death in Israeli detention centers.
Israeli forces have also bombed 34 hospitals, 80 health centers, 162 health institutions, 15 civil defense headquarters, 142 ambulances, and 54 fire trucks across the besieged enclave.
The announcement by the Government Media Office came hours after the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) retrieved the bodies of 14 rescue workers killed by Israeli forces while under siege in Rafah’s Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood.

Israel Kills Over 1,000 Palestinians in Gaza Since Breaking Ceasefire
Gaza’s Health Ministry said Monday that Israeli attacks have killed 1,001 Palestinians since Israel restarted its genocidal war on the Strip with a massive bombing attack on March 18.
The Health Ministry said another 2,359 Palestinians have been injured by Israeli attacks in that time. The ministry’s figures are based on the number of dead and wounded Palestinians brought to hospitals.
The renewed Israeli bombing campaign has been devastating for children. The first day of the attack was described by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz as Israel’s “largest child massacre in its history.”
Israeli strike kills two in Gaza’s so-called ‘safe’ zone
Israeli forces have bombed a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians in al-Mawasi, southern Gaza, killing two people and wounding others, according to Al Jazeera Arabic.
Al-Mawasi, labelled a “humanitarian safe zone” by Israel, has been anything but safe. Despite designating it as a refuge, Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted the area throughout the war.
Earlier Monday, Palestinians in Rafah were ordered to flee to al-Mawasi. Hours later, the bombs followed them.

Israel prepares to occupy ’25 percent of Gaza’ in coming weeks: Report
The Israeli army is preparing to “expand” its ground invasion of Gaza and occupy 25 percent of the strip over the next several weeks as part of a “maximum pressure” campaign aimed at forcing Hamas into accepting a new prisoner exchange deal.
“Reoccupation could go beyond Israel’s stated objectives of the war and could serve as a pretense for pressing Palestinians to leave Gaza,” Axios journalist and former Unit 8200 member Barak Ravid reported on 31 March, citing an unnamed senior official.
The Israeli scheme has already begun with the forced displacement of Palestinians who had returned home after the January ceasefire. If no new agreement is reached, officials say the military could reoccupy most of the strip and force over 2 million people into a small “humanitarian zone.”
“Some Israeli officials say reoccupation is a step towards implementing the government’s plan for ‘voluntary departure’ of Palestinians from Gaza and is necessary to defeat Hamas,” Ravid reports.
The news comes one day after Hamas accepted a new Egyptian proposal to resume the truce in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister and wanted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu laid out what he called the “final stage” of the genocide in Gaza to his cabinet.
“Hamas will lay down its weapons. Its leaders will be allowed to leave. We will see to the general security in the Gaza Strip and will allow the realization of the Trump plan for voluntary migration,” Netanyahu said, referring to US President Donald Trump’s threat to “take” Gaza and forcibly remove Palestinians from their land.
“This is the plan. We are not hiding this and are ready to discuss it at any time … We have an alliance with the greatest superpower in the world,” he added.
Bakeries in northern Gaza have run out of flour: NGO
Bakeries in northern Gaza have run out of flour and will not be operating Tuesday, according to a local NGO.
The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organization Network said Palestinians were at risk of hunger if the international community did not pressure Israel and force it to return to the ceasefire agreement.
Bakeries supported by the UN’s World Food Program in the southern Gaza Strip are also expected to close.
Israeli forces destroy over 3,000 homes in Jenin refugee camp
The media committee of Jenin camp says Israeli forces have destroyed more than 3,250 housing units in the occupied West Bank camp. Some were outright destroyed, while others were seized and turned into military barracks.
Jenin, a flashpoint of Palestinian resistance, has been repeatedly targeted in Israel’s relentless military operations. With thousands now displaced, the camp is being systematically gutted—one home at a time.
US strikes Yemen, Trump says Houthis “decimated”
In northern Yemen, two people were killed and seven others injured in renewed US airstrikes, the Houthi-run Health Ministry said Monday, as American military operations in the region continue to escalate.
According to Health Ministry figures, US strikes have killed more than 60 people and wounded over 140 — including women and children — since the beginning of the air campaign.
US President Donald Trump on Monday said Yemen’s Houthis had been “decimated” by US strikes over the past two weeks, as he vowed to continue military action.
“The Iran-backed Houthi Terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks. Many of their Fighters and Leaders are no longer with us. We hit them every day and night — Harder and harder,” Trump said in a statement on his Truth Social platform.
Arguing that Houthi’s capabilities threaten shipping and the region were “rapidly being destroyed,” Trump said: “Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation.
“Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation. The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at US ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran,” the president added.

State Department dodges question on whether US citizenships may be revoked for pro-Palestine speech
US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce dodged a question at Monday’s briefing about whether naturalized US citizens of Middle Eastern descent might have their citizenships revoked over pro-Palestine speech.
“I’m not going to discuss the nature of the diplomatic or strategic conversations that any department in the government’s having,” she told reporters.
Asked later about whether she can confirm if pro-Israeli advocacy group Betar has provided the US government with lists of names recommended for deportation, Bruce only said, “Whether it exists or not, I won’t confirm,” and that the State Department has “broad authority”.
Trump looking to cancel billions in grants to Harvard over ‘antisemitism’
The Trump administration said on Monday that it was reviewing $9bn in federal contracts and grants given to Harvard University, as part of an ongoing effort to crack down on what it says is “antisemitism” on college campuses.
The focus on Harvard comes after the Trump administration this month cancelled $400m in federal funding for fellow Ivy League school Columbia University. Columbia has since drastically changed its rules to appease the White House and try to get that funding back.
Columbia was at the epicenter of student protests in support of Palestinians and Gaza last year, which then erupted on campuses across the country.
