The warnings from public trucking companies, including LTL providers, tells us that the Trade War is about to take a massive toll on the economy. Most Americans are blissfully ignorant that Main Street activity has sharply down shifted.

Stockouts will hit hard in late June/July and most notably back to school. Walmart, Target, Home Depot CEOs say pain will start being felt in a couple weeks.
With China tariffs at 145%, medium and small businesses — the ones without the power to negotiate relief — will be crushed. Many will go bankrupt.
If they stopped all this silliness today it would likely take another 60-90 days to get back on track. And that’s assuming the Asians are even still interested in exporting to US market.
