Directed energy weapons: Pentagon goes public with technology

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth this week observed demonstrations of directed energy weapons, or DEWs, and said the Pentagon will be scaling up. Former U.S. Navy pilot Matthew “Whiz” Buckley tells “Katie Pavlich Tonight” the technology represents a cheaper alternative for the U.S. military to eliminate threats such as drones: “Your enemy can bankrupt you, so we have to deploy these lasers.”
