I thought I needed to fix my life.
Nature showed me I needed to remember it.

Margot Gels

There’s a particular kind of exhaustion that comes not from doing too much, but from living too far away from yourself.

I know it because I lived it. And I know it because I see it in nearly every person who finds their way to Le Rêve de Gaïa, our 120-acre regenerative land project in the south of France. They arrive burned out, overstimulated, or quietly hollow in a way they can’t quite name. Many of them have done the work. The therapy, the retreats, the journaling, the courses. They’ve read the books. They’ve tried the practices. And still something fundamental hasn’t shifted.

What I’ve come to understand, through years of living on and with this land, is that the missing piece isn’t another method. It’s not more knowledge. It’s not even more healing.

It’s remembering what you already are.

Why no method will ever be enough

Every method has to simplify reality. That’s what makes it teachable.

The moment reality is simplified, someone no longer fits.

The more universal a method claims to be, the more individual information it has to ignore.

Nature never repeats itself. Not one leaf. Not one forest. Not one river. Not one season. Evolution has never optimized for uniformity. It has always optimized for adaptation.

Nature doesn’t need to simplify reality. It has been responding to unique organisms for billions of years.

It never asks you to become someone else before responding to you.

Therapy, coaching, breathwork, meditation, somatics, nervous system work. All of it can be valuable. Methods are what emerge when humans try to describe living intelligence. They are maps. The earth is the territory.

You can study a forest for years. You only begin to know it through relationship.

This is true for the body. For grief. For love. For parenthood. For community. For life.

Knowledge emerges through relationship. Not through description of relationship. Through the thing itself.

Methods can point you toward life. Nature is life itself.

We’re not replacing methods. We’re restoring the context they belong in.

My Life Is My Initiation doesn’t offer answers. It changes where answers come from.

We were never separate from it

Here’s the thing nobody says out loud: you are not someone who can learn from nature. You are nature. The same intelligence that runs through a root system, that knows exactly when to fruit and when to rest, that breaks down what’s dead to feed what’s coming, that intelligence is in you. It never left. It’s just been buried under a lot of noise.

This is not a metaphor. It’s biology. It’s the body’s circadian rhythm responding to light. It’s the gut knowing before the mind does. It’s the way grief  moves through you in waves, not in straight lines, exactly the way water moves. We are patterned the same way. We operate on the same logic.

What living on this land has shown me, and what keeps showing me, is how much of that intelligence we’ve been trained to distrust. We’ve learned to override the signal that says rest with a to-do list. We’ve learned to call uncertainty a problem instead of a threshold. We’ve learned to see our own wildness as something to manage rather than something to inhabit.

My Life Is My Initiation is a course built on one premise: that the earth is not something outside you to learn from. It’s a mirror. And when you look into it honestly, what you see is yourself, the parts that were always there, waiting to be recognized.

What the course actually does

It’s 12 modules. Thematic, not linear. Each one works with a different layer of what it means to live as a sovereign being, not separate from the world, but in right relationship with it.

We work with the body as intelligence, not as vehicle. With the wisdom held in cycles, the ones in nature and the ones in you. With grief, because you cannot compost what you haven’t acknowledged. With desire, because it’s directional information, not a problem. With rest as a productive force. With initiation as something life is always offering you, whether you said yes to it or not.

The earth runs through everything. Not as backdrop, not as metaphor, but as the actual guide. The questions nature asks are the same questions the modules ask. What is alive in you right now? What is ready to fall away? What are you being asked to cross?

You don’t need 120 acres for this. You need a willingness to stop treating your life as something happening to you and start reading it as something speaking to you.

Sovereign living doesn’t mean radical or extreme or off-grid. It means trusting the intelligence you were born with, the same one that knows how to heal a wound, how to dream, how to know when something is wrong before you can explain why. It means coming home to what you already are.

The course opens in July 2026.

Before you decide, start here

If something in what you just read landed, even quietly, I made something for you.

It’s called the Earth Initiation Starter Kit, and it’s free.

It’s not a preview of the course. It’s an invitation to begin noticing what’s already speaking to you.

Inside you’ll find our Gaia Living Manifesto and the 7 Principles of Regenerative Living, a seasonal audit to locate yourself in the cycle, and a survey that asks the one question most of us never stop to answer: what is the earth asking of you right now? There’s a daily morning ritual to start coming back into your body, and a few small practices to bring your hands into contact with living things, because that’s where it begins. Plus a Spotify playlist for when words aren’t enough.

Start there. See what it stirs.

I've been interested in all things related to metaphysics, parapsychology, spirituality and anything related to space since childhood. I'm the kid who used to let the Jehova Witness and Mormans into the house so I could ask a million questions. I've always wanted to be of service and ended up working as an EMT and later in law enforcement. A family job transfer lead me to Washington State for 5 years where I went back to studying spiritual phenomenon and meeting some fascinating people. I've had several initiations, was taught energy healing and became certified in Reiki III over the final 3 years. I had a larger awakening and understanding of how it Reiki worked, remote sensing and more after returning to CA in 2001. I love researching and now writing and being a spokesperson for benevolent contact with NHIB through the practice of meditation. I experienced a spontaneous healing and not long after the "quickening" of 12/21/2012, began having more paranormal experiences, including seeing the UFOs, and orbs that fly over at night. I'm also a volunteer /Admin for ETLetsTalk and love teaching others how to make that connection that I know will one day lead us out of the darkness and into a brighter future.
