Robert Potter, 66, passed away peacefully on 5 May 2025 at his home on Carmel Drive in Mount Shasta, California. Rob grew up in Laguna Beach, California, where the Potter family home, on Manzanita Drive, was just two doors down from the location of the famous contactee George Adamski’s Royal Order of Tibet, from which his KFOX radio broadcasts on “Cosmic Philosophy” emanated during the Great Depression. The presence of Adamski (1891-1965) in Laguna Beach lingers to the present age, and his legacy influenced the young Rob Potter to become interested in the contactee movement, led by the individuals in contact with extraterrestrials and their message for fellow beings on Earth. Just two weeks before his passing, Rob and I presented a lecture on the contactees at the Community Center in Laguna Beach and visited both his boyhood home and the grounds of the Royal Order of Tibet on 758 Manzanita Drive. In this same line of thought, ufology expert Dr. Michael Salla noted that, “Rob Potter was a powerhouse when it came to finding and promoting extraterrestrial contactees over several decades. I attended one of his legendary Mt Shasta conferences that gave a platform to contactees to share their incredible experiences. I interviewed Rob once on my Exopolitics Today show and was planning to invite him to another, but now he’s gone. He will be greatly missed.”
On his own website, The Promise Revealed, Rob declared that, “While living in Laguna Beach, I was exposed to many spiritual influences as Laguna was a hub of spiritual consciousness. It was around this time at age 16 or so I was very interested in psychic phenomena, and the development of Siddhis or the powers of the mind. I developed a sort of obsession with pyramids in high school and was talking to a girl at school who upon hearing of my interest, proclaimed, I know the ‘Pyramid Man’ (Dr. Fred Bell).” It was the mid-1970s, and Rob then made it a point to get in contact with Dr. Fred Bell, a scientist at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as well as a contactee with extraterrestrials from the Pleiades star cluster. Dr. Bell was a friend, mentor and benefactor to Rob, introducing him to the advanced physics, technologies, and philosophies of the sundry inhabitants of the Pleiades. Rob spent many years working closely with Dr. Bell and many other extraterrestrial contactees over the subsequent decades which included Dr. Frank Stranges, Howard Menger, Gabriel Green, the Bolivian Luis Fernando Maertens, Omnec Onec (the Venus Ambassador), and most recently with me, “Cosmic Ray” (the Venus Historian). Rob has organized many conferences and tours discussing extraterrestrials from Venus, Saturn, Aldebaran, Alpha-Proxima-Centauri, Pleiades, etc., and is best known for his legendary Mt Shasta summer conferences, held each year since 2016. I first met Rob when he invited Omnec Onec and I to be his guests at the 2018 “From Venus with Love” summer conference, and we have been the best of friends ever since.
On his The Promise Revealed Website, Robert Potter’s brief autobiographical sketch states, “My entire life has been filled with a calling and a longing. These longings and search for love and truth have been a blessing and a curse. I have always wanted to know who am I? Where did we come from? What is our purpose here? Why is there so much suffering and discord and anxiety on our planet? Why is the world so distorted and fractured, and so caught up in wars pollution ignorance superstition and fear?
“Even as a small child I could see the answers to many of the world’s problems were simple and easy fixes if mankind would but realize the folly of his ways! It seems every question I pondered that was answered, led to the opening of ten more. It seems I was never satisfied.
“Our esoteric experiences and metaphysical alchemical journeys culminated in not only out-of-body experiences, which reached not only into the heart of the galaxy but even unto the heart of creation itself. These ineffable experiences transcend all logic and defy the intellect and spill out onto the floor of belief where only visionary mystics, impeccable warriors, saints, and angels dare to tread. I must most likely be a visionary or a mystic because God knows I am no angel or saint. My flirtations with impeccability, if I dare to describe them as such, have been limited to very brief short bursts of accumulated personal power, which have enabled brief flights on the wings of my perception. I have touched infinity and knelt before the infinite light and worshiped the glory of God.”
Now Brother Rob can rest in the assurance of having attained the ultimate disclosure that we pilgrims still on the Earth’s material plane continue to seek. Rob’s life was surely a blessing to us all.
