It’s that time of year again. The Winter Solstice will soon be here bringing us the longest night and shortest day of the year.  Which also means, we’ll be half way out of the dark!

The holiday’s can be stressful, especially when costs are higher than ever.  This may be the year that you give yourself a break from rushing about and worrying about what to buy for friends and family. Everyone will understand. Try making this holiday season extra special by spending time together playing games, participating in music and singing, and spreading holiday cheer with family and friends.  If you really want to lift your spirits, volunteer some time in your community.

There are inexpensive things you can do if you wish to offer gifts. Something from the heart goes a long way, such as a special recipe or hand made items.  There are games to make limited gift giving fun such as Secret Santa or the gift draw.  If you’re not sure what that’s about, leave a question in the comments.

Christmas should be a time of reflecting on the things we are truley grateful for having in our lives. That includes the prescious moments made with family and friends.

We at Prepare for Change love and appreciate all of you who participate in our weekly events or volunteer your time to keep this organization merry and bright!
