Fireballs, Electromagnetic Storms, and Conflict
Rev. Kat Carroll
About a 7 minute read
What a wild week it’s been!
No doubt, many of you have experienced unusual sensations—subtle shifts, restlessness, perhaps even heightened emotions. These may be tied, at least in part, to the recent surge in solar activity, as Earth-facing plasma streams and solar winds interact with our planet’s electromagnetic field.
When conditions are calm, Earth’s magnetic field forms a protective shield around us—deflecting much of what comes our way.
But when solar activity intensifies, with coronal mass ejections (CMEs) and solar flares, those incoming energy streams press against that field, compressing and distorting it. As I looked at the imagery, it reminded me of a person with long hair driving fast with the top down—their hair streaming backward in the wind.

Only in this case, it’s not us moving through the air…
it’s the energy rushing past us, pushing our protective layer back.
When the Shield Shifts
What do you think might happen when Earth’s protective field is reduced?
Several things can occur.
Without the usual strength of our EM field, some objects can slip through rather than being diverted away. Like a person driving fast with long hair blowing behind them, occasionally a bug makes it through—hitting the windshield… or even the driver.
And this past month, that’s exactly what may be happening.
A Pattern in the Sky
What caught my attention wasn’t just one event… but the pattern.
When you begin lining them up—date after date, location after location—it starts to tell a different story.
Recent fireball and meteor events include:
- February 3 & 11 – Early precursor fireballs (U.S.)
- March 2 – Louisiana, USA
- March 3 – Washington State, USA
- March 8 – Northern Germany (meteorite struck a home; fragments recovered)
- March 9 – Pennsylvania, USA
- March 11 – New York, USA
- March 17 – Ohio, USA (large explosion, sonic boom, ~250 tons TNT equivalent)
- March 21 – Texas, USA (daytime fireball, sonic boom felt by thousands)
- Additional sightings reported in Vancouver, British Columbia
Some of these events were powerful enough to:
- Produce sonic booms
- Shake homes
- Leave behind recoverable meteorite fragments
What’s particularly interesting is that this activity is not associated with any known meteor shower, and has persisted over a period of weeks rather than a typical short-lived event.
At the Same Time… More Solar Activity

While these events were unfolding, the Sun has been anything but quiet.
Throughout March, a series of solar flares and Earth-directed CMEs built in intensity, culminating in a period of heightened geomagnetic activity between March 17th and 22nd—including strong geomagnetic storms.
During these periods:
- Earth’s magnetic field is compressed
- Charged particles increase in the near-Earth environment
- Auroral activity intensifies
- And the overall electromagnetic environment becomes more dynamic
When I laid these timelines side by side, another layer began to emerge.
Some of the most significant fireball events appear within the same window as the most intense geomagnetic disturbances.
Many believe these effects are connected, even if that connection isn’t yet widely accepted in mainstream science. But when earth’s shields are squashed, such as during these storms, it affects us as well.
A System Under Tension?
At the very least, we are witnessing a convergence:
- Increased solar activity
- Changes in Earth’s electromagnetic field
- A noticeable rise in atmospheric fireball events
- Increased tensions and conflict around the world
Whether these are directly connected or part of a larger cycle we are only beginning to understand, it raises an important question:
Are multiple systems—solar, atmospheric, and even biological—responding at the same time?
Beyond the Sky: The Human Element
There is another layer to consider.
Researchers such as Gregg Braden and others have explored the idea that fluctuations in Earth’s electromagnetic environment may influence human physiology and emotional states.
If even subtle changes are occurring within our own internal systems during these periods, it could help explain something many of us are noticing:
Shorter tempers.
Heightened emotions.
A sense of underlying tension.
And considering geopolitical events around the world today…
we don’t have to look very far to see that reflected.
Lived Experience and Awareness
In the past few weeks, I’ve also had several conversations with people whose relationships suddenly felt strained—tensions rising seemingly out of nowhere.
Normally calm and centered individuals became anxious and easily shaken.
What stood out to me was not just the conflicts themself, but how quickly they escalated… and how unfamiliar it felt to those experiencing it.
These aren’t the kinds of conversations I typically find myself in very often, which is why it caught my attention. And maintaining your own “Zen” state is required while listening to others going through their own waves.
It made me pause and ask:
Is something else amplifying what’s already beneath the surface?
Gregg Braden has spoken about this in numerous videos and writings—suggesting that fluctuations in Earth’s electromagnetic environment may influence our internal states in subtle but meaningful ways. His video from a couple days ago speaks of this phenomenon.
If that’s the case, then what we’re experiencing may not be entirely “coming from us”… but moving through us.
And that realization matters.
Because when people begin to understand that these reactions may be influenced—at least in part—by changing energetic conditions, something shifts.
We may not be able to control what is happening to us in the moment…
but we can take responsibility for how we respond.
And just as importantly, we can recognize that these effects are temporary.
Riding the Wave, Not Becoming the Storm
If there is one thing worth taking away from all of this, it’s not fear… it’s awareness.
We may not control the cycles of the Sun, or the alignment of planets, or the news we hear daily. But we can choose how we respond when those waves pass through us.
If these shifts can amplify what’s already beneath the surface, then knowing that becomes a quiet advantage.
Because when irritation rises more quickly than usual…
when patience feels thin…
when reactions come faster than expected…
we can pause and ask:
“Is this me… or am I riding a wave?”
And in that pause, something changes.
We don’t have to snap.
We don’t have to carry that surge into our conversations, our families, or our friendships.
We don’t have to become the sonic boom.
Instead, we can choose to ground, to breathe, and to let the wave pass through.

Because just like geomagnetic storms…
these internal (and external) surges are temporary.
The simple antidotes to stressful waves are the best… Get out in nature, stretch or exercise, meditate or pray, sit by water. The accumulation of positive ions which wreak havoc on our system can be pulled out by the negative (healthy) ions provided by nature.
Closing though
Be the windshield… not the bug.
And to keep them out of your teeth—
when emotions are running high—
there are times when it’s best to keep our mouth closed…
at least until the wave has passed.
I couldn’t help but think of this song while talking about incoming energies and meteorites – Do you remember “The Bug”?
