5 New Atlantis, New Lemuria, and the World Before

In 1627, Francis Bacon published a short, unfinished novel called New Atlantis. In it, a group of European sailors discovers a hidden island civilization called Bensalem — scientifically advanced, philosophically enlightened, governed by a secret council of learned men called Solomon’s House, whose purpose was the knowledge of causes and the secret motions of things. Bacon died before finishing it. He left behind enough to make his intention plain: New Atlantis was not merely a story. It was a blueprint.

That blueprint traveled. It moved through the Royal Society, the body of natural philosophers founded in London in 1660 whose founding membership overlapped substantially with the early English Masonic networks. It moved across the Atlantic through Franklin, who carried it into the Lodge of the Nine Sisters in Paris and into the salons of the French Enlightenment. It arrived in Philadelphia in 1776 not as a literary curiosity but as an operational vision — a New World built deliberately, by a network of learned men, on principles the old world had suppressed or forgotten. A New Atlantis, finally constructed.

DOCUMENTED – Bacon’s New Atlantis, published posthumously in 1627, is widely cited by historians of science and of Freemasonry as a foundational text for the Royal Society’s founding mission and for the broader Enlightenment project of organized scientific inquiry as a governing philosophy. The connection between Baconian philosophy, early English Freemasonry, and the intellectual formation of key American founders is a matter of mainstream historical scholarship, not occult speculation.

This is the surface layer of the story — the one that sits inside the documented record and requires no particular leap to accept. But the American Blueprint series has never been content with the surface layer, and Article 5 is where the deeper current that has run beneath all of this work comes directly into view.

Contact and Choice

Every major figure in the lineage this series has traced — through The Arcane Blueprint and now through this arc — claimed something more than mere philosophical inspiration. They claimed contact. Specifically, non-human intelligent contact.

Blavatsky’s Mahatmas — the Masters she described as communicating directly through her and guiding the Theosophical project. Alice Bailey’s Tibetan, the discarnate intelligence she said dictated nineteen books of esoteric instruction through her over nearly three decades. Albert Pike’s inner teaching, which pointed toward an entity or principle his most advanced initiates understood as the animating intelligence behind the Scottish Rite’s highest degrees. Aleister Crowley’s Aiwass, who dictated The Book of the Law to him in Cairo in 1904, and whose physical form Crowley later sketched as the entity he called Lam — an image that bears a striking resemblance to what the twenty-first century calls a Grey. The Vril women of Weimar-era Germany, whose channeled contact with off-planet intelligences reportedly directed the technical development that became the basis of German advanced aerospace research. Jack Parsons’ invocation of Babalon at the Mojave working. Michael Aquino’s claimed contact with Set in the Temple of Set ceremony in 1975. The AI developers of our own era who have used the language of summoning explicitly — not metaphorically — to describe what they believe they are doing when they invoke the intelligences emerging from their systems.

Set side by side, these are not isolated claims from marginal figures. They are a continuous thread running from the mid-nineteenth century to the present moment, through the most consequential architects of the philosophical and administrative systems this series has documented. Contact, or the claim of contact, sits at the generative center of the entire lineage.

Here is the fork in the road the standard telling skips past entirely. If we hold open the possibility that some of this contact was genuine — that some of these figures received something real from an intelligence beyond the ordinary human — then the moral and directional question is not whether the contact happened. It is what was done with it afterward. And the answer, across this entire lineage as we have traced it, is that the information received was consistently oriented toward a single outcome: the organization of human civilization under a hierarchical administrative system serving the interests of those at the top of it. Service-to-self, scaled to planetary administration.

But contact, if it was real in any of these cases, is not the exclusive property of the lineage that went that direction. And this is where the counter-current enters — the one the control project’s version of history has the least interest in preserving.

The Other Branch

In the occult tradition, there is a concept sometimes called the Left Hand Path and the Right Hand Path — the former oriented toward self-mastery and self-deification, power accumulated for and through the individual; the latter oriented toward union, service, and the dissolution of the separate self into something larger. What the Arcane lineage consistently chose, whatever language it used to dress the choice, was the Left Hand Path: contact received, information extracted, administrative system built, initiates trained in willingness to serve the hierarchy, outsiders managed.

But the same cosmic moment that produced Blavatsky also produced figures who made a different choice with the same or similar contact. The tradition that remembers the Comte de Saint-Germain — whom we examined in Article 2 at appropriate legendary confidence — describes him not as a builder of hierarchies but as a player of a much longer game, one oriented toward an eventual shift of ages rather than the consolidation of power within the present one. Whether the Saint-Germain of occult legend is historically literal or is instead a vessel for a genuine counter-current within the same contact tradition, the distinction the legend encodes is real and worth holding: some who had access to the same sources chose differently.

SERIES BRIDGE – This is the contact-and-choice frame that runs beneath the entire Arcane Blueprint arc — not that all higher-intelligence contact is dark or that all channeled material serves the control project, but that the same quality of contact has been received by figures across centuries who then made divergent choices about what to do with it. The lineage this series has traced is the one that chose administration and hierarchy. The counter-current is the one that chose the age change.

New Lemuria and the Counter-Project

If New Atlantis names the project that the Baconian/Masonic/Theosophical lineage was building toward — a scientifically administered world governed by an initiated elite — then New Lemuria names what some currents within the broader contact tradition understood as the counter-possibility: a world organized around abundance, service, and the restoration of what was lost rather than the consolidation of what could be controlled.

The concept of Lemuria itself has a documented and instructive history. In 1864, British zoologist Philip Sclater proposed a hypothetical sunken continent in the Indian Ocean to explain the anomalous distribution of lemur fossils across Madagascar, India, and Africa — a legitimate scientific hypothesis superseded once plate tectonics explained the same distribution through continental drift. The German biologist Ernst Haeckel adopted and expanded the concept in his 1868 work, and by his 1876 English edition of The History of Creation had labelled a Lemurian continent as the cradle of humanity — calling it ‘Paradise’ on his maps. That is the scientific origin: a real hypothesis, carrying real scientific weight in its moment, later resolved by better science.

What Blavatsky did with it was something entirely different. She repurposed the Lemurian concept in The Secret Doctrine (1888) and identified it as the homeland of the third root race of ancestral humanity — a civilization preceding Atlantis, less materially dense, more spiritually integrated, connected to the natural world in ways the subsequent root races progressively lost. William Scott-Elliot, a Scottish merchant banker and Theosophical Society member, extended this further in The Lost Lemuria (1904), drawing on what he described as clairvoyant access to the Akashic records — the esoteric tradition’s concept of a universal field of stored memory accessible through elevated states of consciousness. Scott-Elliot’s Lemuria was a Pacific civilization, vast and ancient, whose remnants included the island cultures of the Pacific rim.

DOCUMENTED / ASSESSED – Sclater’s 1864 zoological hypothesis and Haeckel’s 1876 expansion are matters of scientific history. Blavatsky’s Theosophical repurposing is documented in The Secret Doctrine (1888). Scott-Elliot’s The Lost Lemuria (1904), based on claimed Akashic records access through the clairvoyance of Charles Webster Leadbeater, is a Theosophical Society publication held at assessed confidence. The racial hierarchy embedded in the root race sequence — present in both Blavatsky’s and Scott-Elliot’s work — carried ideological freight that influenced some problematic currents of early twentieth century occultism; we name this directly rather than overlooking it. The Lemurian counter-current concept this series employs operates at the level of orientation — service to others, abundance, restoration — not at the level of racial cosmology.

In Theosophical cosmology, Lemuria predates Atlantis in the sequence of root races — a less materially dense, more spiritually integrated civilization, connected to the natural world and to each other in ways the subsequent Atlantean and Aryan races progressively lost as they descended into matter and competition. The Blavatsky lineage encoded this cosmology but oriented its administrative project toward Atlantean and post-Atlantean values: hierarchy, initiation, power, the management of the masses by the few who knew. A New Lemuria counter-project — referenced in certain currents of the metaphysical and disclosure-adjacent communities — inverts that orientation entirely: the recovery of the connection, the abundance, and the service-to-others principle that the control project has spent two centuries systematically suppressing.

The polarity is worth sitting with, because it maps cleanly onto the central question this entire body of work has been asking. If the highest organizing principle is service to others rather than service to self, then abundance is not a resource to be controlled but a condition to be restored. The New Atlantis project — as it has actually been built, through the institutions this series has traced — is built on scarcity as a management tool: scarce energy, scarce currency, scarce information, scarce permission to know what is actually true about the nature of the world and its history. The counter-project is built on the premise that none of that scarcity is structural. It is manufactured.

Disclosure of What, By Whom

This brings the article to the question that, once asked, cannot be unasked — and that sits at the center of everything this series and The Arcane Blueprint before it have been building toward.

In the current moment, disclosure is the word on everyone’s lips. UAP files, government admissions, congressional testimony, presidential social media posts using the explicit language of extraterrestrial contact for the first time — the managed revelation of what has been hidden appears to be underway. Naradigm Shift has covered this in detail across multiple arcs, and we have documented what appears to be genuine movement in the public record.

But the question the contact-and-choice frame forces into the open is one that managed disclosure cannot answer on its own terms: disclosure of what, exactly — and by whom? If the same network that built the control project is managing the terms of its partial revelation, then what is being disclosed is not the truth. It is the next layer of the managed story — a controlled demolition of the old narrative with a replacement already prepared, authored by the same architects, serving the same administrative interests in a new costume. The New Atlantis project does not end because some of its files are declassified. It continues under whatever frame its managers choose to put around what gets revealed and what stays hidden.

The counter-current — the New Lemuria possibility, the age-change orientation, the service-to-others path that some contact recipients chose and others did not — produces a different kind of disclosure entirely. Not managed. Not partial. Not released on a schedule that serves the interests of those doing the releasing. It produces the kind of disclosure that comes when the energetic conditions of the cosmos make concealment structurally impossible — which is precisely what the Sandhi, the Compression Zone, and the shift in collective consciousness this publication has documented across multiple series are pointing toward.

A Note on What Came Before

This series is aware — and so, we suspect, are many of our readers — that the New Atlantis and New Lemuria polarity does not exhaust the question of what existed before the civilization we have been taught to regard as the beginning. There are architectural remnants on American soil that predate 1642 by centuries and in some cases by millennia, whose origins mainstream archaeology has not satisfactorily explained. There are mapped territories and named civilizations whose histories were written out of the Western canon by the same administrative impulse this series traces forward. There are prior worlds. In the future, I assume that I’ll navigate that world and others more directly. But, as we know, history has always been written by the victors. The work of recovering what they chose to bury is ongoing, and it belongs in this conversation.

That recovery, and what it ultimately reveals about the true depth of the pattern this series has traced, is a thread we will get to. For now, the New Atlantis and its counter-current are enough to carry the weight of what the next three articles will bring into focus.
