As a college student many years ago, I fell into a deep dark cave. I let the dark consume me because it was easier to feel sorry for myself. One night while driving mindlessly home I pressed the play button without knowing which CD was inside.
Out of the speakers Depeche Mode’s Insight came alive, I reached over to skip the song because I thought it was much too slow for driving music. Something stopped me and I listened to the lyrics. I’d heard this song many times but I never paid attention to the message behind the words. (Lyrics and video provided below)
It was music inspiration that helped me overcome my own darkness. I was able to see a better alternative and put forth the action to become a great version of myself.
