Rey Hernandez is one of the four co-founders of FREE (Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial Encounters).  The other three co-founders include the late astronaut and physicist, Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Dr. Rudy Schild, an Emeritus Professor of Astrophysics at Harvard University, and Mary Rodwell, a leading Australian UFO and Contact phenomenon researcher.

Rey and his entire family have experienced contact with non-human intelligence (NHI) in their family home.  He and his family have had multiple contact experiences large UFOs.  In one instance, a football stadium-sized craft only 30 feet from Rey, his daughter, and 3 adult witnesses, hovered over them in silence for more than 45 minutes.  His family has also had numerous paranormal experiences including missing time and a spontaneous healing.  Before these experiences, Rey was ignorant of UFOs, ET Contact and the paranormal, and identified as an atheist and material rationalist.  These experiences have been transformative, and he is now deeply spiritual.

Rey is the Director of the new Consciousness and Contact Research Institute, or CCRI, a 501c3 academic research institute comprised of more than 25 Ph.D. academics, medical doctors, and researchers whose mission is to explore a new paradigm that seeks to integrate the findings of consciousness research and the phenomenology of extraordinary experiences, what the CCRI calls the Contact Modalities, a term that he coined in 2013.

Rey has helped create the  world’s first and only comprehensive academic statistical research study on UFO contact experiencers.  Much of FREE’s research data is based on responses from over 4,200 UFO contact experiencers from over 100 countries.  CCRI studies contradict much of what mainstream news and materialist Ufologists are providing to the public.

Rey has helped create two amazing books on the topic of contact and the various modalities used by NHI to make a connection with us.  These two books are full of firsthand witness and experiences had by contactees.  The first  820-page academic book “BEYOND UFOS: The Science of Consciousness and Contact with Non-Human Intelligence” released in 2018.  The follow-up book in the anticipated series, “A Greater Reality: The new paradigm of nonlocal consciousness, the paranormal and the Contact modalities” was to release in May of 2022 and should soon be available on Amazon.  More books are to follow!
