Foods, supplements, and Practices to Decalcify and Detox the Pineal

In part 1 of my research, I discussed the regenerative power of the pineal gland; how it assists with healing the body through the chemical processes that regulate our mood and sleep cycles. I also shared how the pineal has been recorded in art and religious texts since the dawn of written history, as the “seat of the soul” and the 3rd eye. It is a portal to religious and mystical experiences and for creative and higher thinking.
Part II discussed how environmental pollutants, genetically modified food, and chemicals such as fluoride combine with heavy metals and pass through the protective gut lining when destroyed by antibiotics in some meats (mainly beef and chicken). Pesticides and herbicides like glyphosate allow toxic compounds to enter the blood stream and accumulate in the brain where they disrupt thyroid function, your immune system and reduce our ability to use natural intuition and connection to higher planes of consciousness. These toxins cause rapid aging and debilitation and leave us lethargic, overweight, depressed and chronically ill. Most are carcinogenic and all reduce our life span.
Although all the substances I mentioned can be harmful to the body, the main culprit for plaque buildup causing hardening of the arteries and a calcified pineal gland has recently shifted from cholesterol buildup to having excess calcium in the blood. Lot’s more to follow on how this occurs.
Let’s look at ways to reverse and prevent damage so we can live longer, healthier lives, and with spiritual experiences and intuitive abilities.
Substances and Foods that Decalcify
Boron helps build strong bones, treats osteoarthritis, aids with muscle growth, improves muscle coordination, increasing testosterone levels, and enhances cognitive ability. It also treats candida which is a yeast infection known as thrush of the mouth or vagina. Boron has been used in laundry detergent since 1891 under the name Borax.
Studies show boron removes fluoride from the body – Marcovitch and Stanley initiated studies in 1942 on identifying antidotes for fluoride. Their evidence revealed that boric acid, a compound derived from boron, was successful as an antidote because it combined with the fluoride to form a fluoborite which is excreted through urination.
- Elsair and fellow researchers noted in their study that boron increased the excretion of fluoride. Zhou and his colleagues also showed borax increased urinary fluoride excretion. They experimented with doses of 300 mg/day for 15 days, 600 mg/day for 15 days, 900 mg/day for 45 days and 1100 mg/day for 15 days. Their best results came with a 1100mg/day dosage with no harm to liver or kidney function.
While it sounds disgusting, consuming borax (boron) is safe even at high doses. But it is not a whole food, and should only be consumed as a short-term fluoride detox, though people have successfully used borax daily without incident.
I found this detox online and I offer it here for informational purposes only. I do not recommend ingesting borax from laundry detergent as it could contain other ingredients. You can buy liquid Borax from health food stores. And yes…. it tastes like soap!
Borax fluoride detox
1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon of Borax to one liter of water with a pinch of sea salt. Borax is a strong fluoride detox so to minimize or prevent nausea, start with a low dose of 1/8 teaspoon of Borax per liter of water and work your way up to 1/4 teaspoon. Use pure or distilled water.
Health-food stores carry Boron in tablet form or in drops. I have used the liquid form with no ill effect, other than a funny taste that’s reminiscent of having my mouth washed out with soap as a kid on at least one occasion.
In a more recent study, it was found that Boron is needed for plant growth as it defends against parasites and does the same in the human body. You can use it similarly, or as a replacement to ivermectin. And like ivermectin, it is also helps fight cancer! A link on this is in the resource list at the end of this report.
Whole food sources of Boron: Beets, raisins, avocado, dried plums/prunes, and dried apricots. Almonds, hazelnuts, and dates are all boron rich foods that you can eat daily.
Brazil nuts have boron but are also high in selenium, an antioxidant that fights free radicals and reduces inflammation. It also helps prevent cancer, aids in your resistance to viruses and heart disease and slows down symptoms related to conditions like asthma.
Foods that help – Mom was right; Eat Your Greens!
Chlorella is one of the most powerful superfoods in the world. Chlorella, spirulina, and wheatgrass are great foods packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. These chlorophyll-dense superfoods remove metal toxins from organs, increase oxygen levels, repair damaged tissue, and boost your immune system. The ability to remove toxic metals from organs aids the body in removing metal buildup. Plus, by boosting oxygen and immune function, it may help your body reverse pineal gland calcification. If you are not fond of leafy greens, try juicing and adding apple juice or strawberries to improve the flavor. Eating them whole has benefits to your digestive track health for the fiber it provides
Chlorophyll rich foods include asparagus, beet greens, green bell peppers, Bok choy, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, green cabbage, celery, collard greens, cucumbers, green beans, green peas, kale, leeks, mustard greens, green olives, romaine lettuce, green sea vegetables, spinach, Swiss chard, and turnip greens.
Cilantro, aka Coriander and Chinese parsley. This is that spicy herb used in pesto which is known to help remove mercury from the body.
Horsetail, also known as puzzle grass, has the common name Equisetum.
It is the last species of the genus of that name as all others have gone extinct. Benefits of horsetail include its ability to boost immunity, reduce inflammation, increase cognitive function, and relieve respiratory issues. It also helps soothe the skin, protect bones, and promote oral health.
It aids in detoxifying the body, managing diabetes, and promoting good hair health. It is recommended due to its silica which helps remove heavy metals from the body. It increases cognition, and has added benefits of boosting immunity, reducing inflammation, strengthening bones, clearing mucus and phlegm from the respiratory tract. It is good for skin care, kidney health and helps reverse diabetes according to the Journal of Ethnopharmacology. No surprise, it is also great for hair care and who does not appreciate a healthy ponytail!
Gotu Kola
This green leafy plant from the wetlands of Asia, in Ancient India, Africa, and China, has been ingesting it for ages for its medicinal benefits. It is known to improve cognition and memory, repair and reverse damage to brain cells, and boost acetylcholine. Scientists are also finding that Gotu Kola may even help promote better hair growth at the follicular level.
Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) is called “the student herb” in Bali because it sharpens the mind. It has additional benefits to the body such as speeding wound healing, preventing hair loss, calming nervous disorders, and treating respiratory issues. More importantly, it can reduce toxicity in the body, protect your heart, perk up your mood and heal your circulatory system. Better blood flow means more oxygen rich blood to your brain. Goto Kola falls under the list of nootropics that enhance cognitive performance. Nootropics comes from the Greek word “noos” (mind) and “tropein” (towards).
The Greek roots are appropriate, given that enhancing higher cognition, including memory, decision-making, and creativity are goals that generations and civilizations have always aspired to reaching.
Greek Philosopher Epicurus, from the fourth century BC, had a special school on property he purchased, which later became known as the “Garden”. He was considered the Greek philosopher of pleasure. He said the ‘root of every good is the pleasure of the stomach. Even wisdom and culture must be referred to this.’ Good food is good for the mind.

Natto Fermented Soybeans
Natto, or nattokinase, is a traditional food usually consumed at Japanese breakfast tables together with miso soup, fish, and rice. Tofu, tempeh, miso and natto are all whole food forms of soybean. However, unlike other soy foods, fermentation accounts for many of its health-promoting properties. Natto prevents osteoporosis by controlling the speed at which calcium is removed from the body. The risk of heart disease decreases by consuming Natto as it reduces plaque in the blood vessels.
Fermented foods in general are extremely beneficial to your digestive tract. They aid in the extraction of nutrients from your food, reduce blood pressure, have anti-microbial effects, are anti-carcinogenic, antioxidant, anti-fungal… You get the picture! Chaga mushroom grows on the bark of trees, and it looks like wood. Chaga is an immune system adaptogen.

Raw Cacao
Raw, organic chocolate in its purest form can help detoxify the pineal gland because of cacao’s high antioxidant content. Cacao or dark chocolate stimulates the third eye. It is sometimes used as an aid to remote viewing classes to improve accuracy. Who would say no to a chocolate treat!? Raw cacao is also becoming a healthy alternative to coffee.
Silica – Also known as silicon dioxide, silica, silicic acid, or silicic acid anhydride. Found in nature as quartz, silica is a major component in sand (please don’t eat sand!).
PubMed acknowledges silicic acid is an antidote for aluminum poisoning and silica as a detox agent for heavy metals. Both brain tissue calcification and aluminum toxicity are linked to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Silica taken as a supplement can help prevent dementia. When you supplement with silica, the aluminum leaves your body via the urine. There may be a problem if you take too much (you’ll pee a lot) so drink plenty of water and keep your vitamin B1 and potassium levels up.
Good food sources of silica include whole grain bread and pasta, oatmeal, brown rice, oat and wheat bran cereals, bananas, mangos, green beans, spinach, horsetail, mineral water and, believe it or not, beer. I’ll drink to that!
Iodine improves the removal of sodium fluoride during excretion. Modern iodine deficiencies leave room for iodine’s elemental cousin, fluoride, to take its place (causing thyroid problems). The human body has no use for fluoride, so the body isolates it in a calcium husk. Increasing iodine in your diet will reduce the effect of fluoride on all your organs. You can get it from organic dietary sources like seaweed, spinach, broccoli, and fish. You can also supplement with iodine to support thyroid health, your immune system, and pineal gland.

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar – A natural detoxifier, raw apple cider vinegar helps decalcify the pineal gland due its malic acid. Malic acid is an organic compound that gives fruits their sour taste
When taken as a supplement, ACV supports digestive health and helps the body detoxify. Apple cider vinegar has many health benefits. Make sure the brand you buy is raw and packaged in a glass container. It should include the spongy looking stuff floating on the bottom of the bottle.
Bragg also makes flavored versions which in addition to the prebiotics, are packed with antioxidants that help reduce inflammation and may prevent cancer. Flavored versions may be easier to tolerate by some but I found them wonderfully tangy!
Natural sources of iodine include seaweed, kombu kelp, wakame (a type of brown seaweed), Nori (red seaweed), cod, iodized salt, shrimp, tuna, eggs, prunes, lima beans, cottage cheese.
Malic Acid that’s found in apple cider vinegar can also be found in the following fruits: Apples, watermelon, bananas, apricots, blackberries, cherries, lychees, peaches, pears, and nectarines and in the vegetable’s broccoli, beans, carrots, peas, potatoes, tomatoes, and rhubarb. Kombucha has been around for more than 2,000 years. It was first brewed in China and then spread to Japan and Russia. It became popular in Europe in the early 20th century. Kombucha is rich in probiotics, which can help keep gut flora healthy and functioning properly, decrease inflammation, and support the immune system. Tamarind – A recent study shows that tamarind fruit holds promise as it reversed the symptoms of fluoride exposure symptoms in rats. The study Effect of Tamarind Ingestion on Fluoride Excretion in Humans also showed the consumption of tamarind significantly increased the excretion of fluoride.
Helpful Vitamin Supplements and Herbs
Glutathione
This antioxidant is considered the mother of all antioxidants by Mark Hyman, MD. Glutathione can prevent damage to important cellular components caused by free radicals, peroxides, lipid peroxides, and heavy metals. A higher awareness of glutathione for health became prevalent as people sought to treat side effects of the Covid inoculations in 2020-2022. It’s readily available at health food stores. NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) I decided to include this recently approved drug because as of 2022 it was authorized for use as a supplement. (NAC) is a supplement form of cysteine. Your body doesn’t make it, and it’s not found in foods, but it still plays an important role. Like cysteine, NAC bonds with glutamine and glycine to form the powerful antioxidant, glutathione. It’s used medically for Tylenol overdose. It helps remove the mucus blockages that may form during cold and flu season to make breathing easier. Keep this on your shelf for cold and flu season!
NAC plays a role in the detoxification of your kidneys and liver. It can help to prevent potential side effects of drugs and environmental factors — such as exposure to heavy metals — that may impact these organs and the pineal.
Melatonin, more than a sleep aid
Per Healthline, Melatonin can have an antioxidant, protective effect on the brain. Medical conditions that may damage the brain or organs, or effect the pineal gland could be averted with this simple supplement. It’s secreted naturally by the body to help maintain your circadian rhythm (sleep and wakefulness cycles). Those levels are higher in the young (don’t you wish you could sleep like a kid again?). As we age the amount is reduced and supplementation with melatonin can help regulate your sleep and healing process. It’s also linked to aging. D3, K2, Magnesium Work Together
Most everyone knows the importance of Vitamin D during winter months when there is less exposure to sunshine. Vitamin K2 (also known as activator X) activates proteins that are responsible for shunting calcium into the bone matrix. With D3 (produced naturally by the body when exposed to sunlight), the body releases calcium into the bloodstream for active use. D3, K2 and magnesium work synergistically to get calcium into the bone matrix. It is part of that mesh of bone along with silica, and certain amino acids, which pulls calcium out of the soft tissue, and into our skeletal system where it is needed.

One of the problems that was recently discovered, is the fluoride in our water reduces the body’s ability to produce D3 naturally. This is why we are often asked to increase our vitamin D intake by physicians. It’s not your lack of sunshine causing health issues. It’s the substances the make our bodies less efficient.
Drinking water with high fluoride levels was significantly associated with calcium and the related hormones vitamin D and parathyroid hormone which controls the calcium in your blood. Basically, drinking water with high fluoride levels reduces your body’s ability to produce and move calcium to where it’s required.
It’s dangerous for pregnant mothers and infants. Fulvic Acid is found in soil and is formed by the gradual decomposition of certain plants and animals by the action of microorganisms. Fulvic acid improves how our cells use things like antioxidants and electrolytes as it helps us absorb and use other nutrients more efficiently. It has a high Ph and negative charge that attracts heavy metals (positively charged) making them become soluble in water to exit the body more readily.
Fulvic Acid has become popular for slowing down aging, improving digestive health and protecting brain function. In fact, studies now show that fulvic acid has antioxidant, neuro-protective, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Rosemary
For herbalists, Rosemary is the herb of “now” as it helps one stay focused and in the present moment. It is great for flavoring meals but also for concentration, meditation, or creative endeavors. I sometimes place a drop on each wrist before talking in public.
When twenty young adults were asked math questions in a small room diffused with rosemary oil, their speed and accuracy increased in direct proportion to the time the oil was diffused in the room. As an experiment to confirm this, try placing a drop on each wrist of your child on the day of tests. Use Rosemary as a tea, tincture or inhaled as an essential oil. My research is finding that if something is good for the brain, it is likely to be good for the hair which is the case with rosemary oil. Alopecia or hair loss is often a symptom of infection, immune system reactions, age, hormonal shifts, drugs such as in chemotherapy and inherited conditions. Studies show that rosemary can reverse some of the most common forms of hair loss.
Oregano and Oregano Oil
Not just a tasty herb for Italian food…. Research supports oregano oil as a powerful tool against microbes and other harmful organisms. Controversial and lesser-known substances
MMS/Chlorine Dioxide (Not to be confused with laundry bleach!)
Jim Humble has been teaching about the health benefits of Chlorine Dioxide since 1996. It is an antimicrobial agent. Use it to safely clean fruits and vegetables before eating, and to clean the hard surfaces in your kitchen and bathroom of microscopic bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa that may cause disease. It’s also sold in outdoor and recreational stores for cleaning water you may get from rivers and ponds while in nature.

Chlorine Dioxide is an FDA and EPA approved pesticide used in food services, municipal water, for mold treatment, odor treatment, medical use, mouthwashes, toothpastes, eye care, and in personal water treatment products, treating sick fish in your tank, or purifying the water you collect on campouts and hiking. It is a more “Earth-Friendly” alternative to many chlorine applications”.
Whether on purpose or not, mainstream media confused MMS/Chlorine Dioxide with Chlorine bleach. Propaganda was used to steer the public away from natural remedies during the pandemic of 2020-2022. There was a concerted effort to persuade the public to take emergency use only, untested vaccinations.
Mainstream media frightened viewers into thinking President Trump was advocating drinking laundry bleach. Nothing could have been further from the truth! This is a safe alternative to bleach and other caustic, or toxic chemicals and has been used to treat public drinking water for over 200 years! You can use chlorine dioxide to remove glyphosate and bacteria that your water filtration system may have missed. Chelation Therapy
Chelation therapy is used for heavy metal poisoning such as lead, aluminum, arsenic, mercury, and nickel. It involves IV solutions or oral supplements with high doses of certain vitamins and minerals. The treatment binds the toxins in the bloodstream, liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system for excretion. The benefits include lowering blood pressure, reduced risk of heart attack, combatting inflammation, and reducing fatigue. Grounding
Getting your hands in the soil by planting or walking barefoot in soil is beneficial for the above reasons. The negative ions in the soil pull the toxic ions from your body through your feet and hands. I guess we could call this a “dirty little secret” that’s good to know!
Walking barefoot on the beach or sitting anywhere near moving water, such and indoor and outdoor fountains and lakes, is also good for binding the unhealthy positive ions to negative ions so they can be excreted.
What to Avoid
To restore your pineal gland, you also need to eliminate or limit sources of fluoride and cut out processed junk foods, especially soda, anything that is acidic (meat and dairy are also acidic). If you do not moderate this part of your diet, you won’t get much benefit from the good foods and supplements you’re taking to improve your health and pineal function.
Foods like cilantro, garlic, lemon juice, and coconut oil may help you detox but it may be worth considering a full body detox to reduce the acidity of the body and clear heavy metals and other toxins. Do some research on detoxing before embarking on a program.
It is your body, your choice. Treat it like a fine automobile giving it good gas and oil and keeping it clean, (inside and out), and it will run smoothly for years to come.
Recreational Drugs
You can lose your connection to God/Source, and mystical experiences by using certain drugs, especially stimulants.
Stay clear of cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, and epinephrine. Not only do they inhibit these experiences by blocking the gene that receives the chemical signals from dopamine (your natural feel-good hormone) it can leave you feeling empty and dependent on the drug. The area of the brain that suffers the most damage from long term exposure is also the area required for higher thinking, executive decisions and knowing right from wrong; The prefrontal cortex. It may take a year or longer to heal prefrontal cortex after prolonged use. If you use, stop early before the damage becomes permanent.
Practices to Activate the Third Eye
Sleep in complete darkness – Turn off your cell phones and do not fall asleep in front of the television. Use black out curtains if you have streetlights outside your bedroom window. The pineal responds to light and dark by secreting hormones, including DMT, (the spirit molecule) while in deep sleep.
Sunshine and Exercise – This simple practice wakes up your pineal gland and stimulates your mind. I personally like meditating in the morning sun. The light prompts the production of the neurotransmitter, Serotonin which boosts your mood and energy levels. At night, it switches to producing Melatonin and growth hormones which are essential for cell repair. Add light exercise and/or stretching such as yoga to increase endorphin production, the morphine like chemicals produced by the body.
Sun Gazing – While sun gazing is controversial, it can be safely attempted within the first 15 minutes of sunrise and the last 15 minutes before sunset. You only need look for a couple of seconds and please, look away immediately if you feel any discomfort.
Initiation – A modified version of sun gazing is used in a secret Masonic practice. An initiate will remain in a dark location for several days. He or she is then blindfolded and taken to stand before the rising sun, and the blindfold is removed. The sudden exposure to light blasts the pineal into greater activity or awakening.
I do not agree with all the Free Mason practices, and it is known that many of these groups were infiltrated by the Illuminati in the late 1700s. However, it does show, the Masons were very aware of ancient mystery school practices that activate the third eye.
Meditation – This practice is the solid foundation for all mental practices, and for any age group. Meditation has extraordinary and lasting effects on our mind, body, and spirit. It improves brain function and overall health, aids sleep and mood regulation, reduces pain and inflammation.
Meditation increases mental focus and helps boost grade point averages of children who practice. It also helps keep them out of detention since they are less likely to become distracted. Meditation stimulates the growth of neurons, increasing those used for focused attention and psychic senses.
Meditation also synchronizes the heart and brain (called Coherence or Heart Rate Variability by the HeartMath Institute). It reduces stress and improves your overall health and quality of life.
As you can see, there are many ways to improve your brain function and overall health. Getting away from processed foods and drinks with all the unknown chemicals and additives, pesticides and herbicides should be the first step to eating clean. Find the local farmers and, if you eat meat, local ethical butchers.
I had considered including plant medicine such as Ayahuasca, Peyote, Psilocybin and other substances now offered by some clinics to treat PTSD, chronic pain and others disorders. I’m not one to promote their use as I believe we possess the ability to tap into higher consciousness and heal without their aid. But there are some who may benefit.
Whatever you do, remember “all things in moderation”. Undoing years of damage from toxins in the environment will take some time. But thankfully, we may get a bit of help starting in 2025 under the new administration who wants to Make America Healthy Again!
