The Long Coup: Burn Bags, Broadcasts, and the Battle for Truth
Rev. Kat Carroll
Introduction – Our Filters of Perception
When I create my articles, I recognize that they will garner several types of responses. Some complimentary, some that feel I haven’t grasped the whole truth of a matter, and others who feel I should be looking into the material written of others.
This was anticipated and even welcomed. I will never state that my views are perfect or encompass the whole of possibilities. That’s due to the nature of consciousness itself.
Our ideas and perceptions are based on the indoctrinations from our educational system, religious followings, and what was handed down to us by our family and friends. They shape our views.
Those are the filters, the “rose colored glasses”, we see through and accept information as truth, or as false. The choices we make are based on our past perceptions and life experiences. The problem is, we don’t always receive enough information to make a final determination. And confirmation bias can cause individuals to pick the information that agrees most with their preexisting opinions and knowledge.
Our ideas and opinions are not solely our own. And when you consider the number of people you have been exposed to or interacted with throughout your lifetime, however short or long, you can see the bits and pieces that surface in your own opinions.
To a large extent, our views are influenced by media, whether the legacy news providers on TV and in newspapers, or those in the many social media platforms. What sometimes surprised me, was the need to fit in, to jump onto the bandwagon that the majority were following on some ideas, even when there was proof, they had hitched their horses to a false idea. The urge to conform (whether right or wrong) and craving the safety of your circle of friends is called Groupthink.
That said, here is my article about recent findings that may trigger some of you. Please don’t shoot the messenger!
FBI Burned by Hidden Truth
The recent discovery of concealed documents inside FBI headquarters, stuffed into “burn bags” and sealed away in a locked room has shattered what remains of the Russia-collusion narrative. These documents, now being declassified, include an annex to the Durham Report and intelligence assessments indicating that U.S. officials knew early on that Russia neither favored Trump nor had the capacity to sway the 2016 election. More damning: this information was withheld not only from the public, but from President Trump himself.
The discovery raises serious questions: Who ordered this suppression? And why were these materials hidden until now, as if waiting for history to move past the scandal?
A Manufactured Narrative in Recent History
While these documents were buried, a different reality was being broadcast into millions of homes. The Clinton campaign, the DNC, and high-ranking intelligence officials created and circulated the Steele dossier—a political opposition document repackaged as intelligence. The FBI used it to justify surveillance and investigations. The media, in turn, treated it as gospel.
The result was a self-reinforcing echo chamber where unverified claims became “facts” because they were repeated often enough. What should have remained in the realm of fiction became national policy.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” — Joseph Goebbels, German Nazi politician
Media as Co-Conspirators
Most who followed the Q drops from 8 Chan, and still follow the cues as they appear in other media, will probably remember this one cryptic phrase: Future proves past.
I believe we are experiencing that now with the unveiling of long hidden truths, especially those from mainstream media that have come to light this year.
Complicit media figures did not just report the narrative; they were part of its distribution network. High-ranking former officials like James Clapper (CNN), John Brennan (MSNBC), and James Comey became trusted commentators. These were the same men who stood to benefit from concealing the truth. And when inconsistencies emerged, the media acted not as investigators, but as narrative enforcers. Let’s not forget the Fact Checkers, that small number of people who were paid to publish opinions, and keep society in lock step.
No moment illustrates this more clearly than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s now-infamous explanation of the “wrap-up smear” to reporters:
“You smear somebody with falsehoods and all the rest, then you have the press write about it, and then you say, ‘See, it’s reported in the press’—so they have that validation… and now I’m going to merchandise the press’s report on the smear we made.”

This wasn’t journalism. It was a coordinated coup.
Legal Retaliation and Narrative Cracks
As of mid-2025, Trump has launched multiple defamation lawsuits against legacy media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Rupert Murdoch, and Paramount. One case focuses on the false association of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein—a claim now under legal scrutiny with requests for Murdoch’s deposition. Another resulted in a settlement over a deceptively edited interview with Kamala Harris.
These legal actions, while dismissed by critics as political theater, are yielding results: settlements, public retractions, and – most importantly, shifting public awareness. The good news is the press is no longer untouchable.
The Election That Wasn’t Clean
The 2020 election became a culmination point for these tactics. Despite numerous claims of irregularities, including:
- Backpacks full of ballots dropped at night (as shown in the now-retracted “2000 Mules” documentary)
- Observers being blocked from viewing ballot counting
- Ballots that appeared unfolded or suspiciously pristine
- Multiple votes cast under single names across jurisdictions
- Votes from deceased or underage individuals
The media response was nearly uniform: “the most secure election in history.”
Yet the footage, affidavits, and digital forensics tell a different story—one still being pieced together, even as critics are silenced or demonized. Prepare for Change lost is YouTube live stream for reporting information that was later proved to be accurate and on point. That tells you who some of the gatekeepers are, even in social media. Those who remove our First Amendment Right of free speech.
“What difference, at this point, does it make?” — Hillary Clinton during the January 23, 2013, Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing.
Dear Hillary, The truth matters. And it does make a difference once enough people know it.
Deflection as Policy
What we witnessed in the wake of Trump’s presidency wasn’t just political opposition; it was institutional gaslighting. False labels like “racist,” “conspiracy theorist,” and “insurrectionist”, “deplorables” were applied to dissenters of all stripes. As I discussed in my 2022 article “Racism and Other Labels to Control the Narrative”, these labels are not descriptors, they are silencers.
This is classic deflection: accuse others of the very thing you are doing. Those who incited real unrest were hailed as activists. Those who questioned election integrity were labeled traitors or purveyors of disinformation. The goal was not clarity but compliance. Remember the term “Lock Step”? The news might have well have been the Borg as the worked in unison against the community who shared truth, about Russia Collusion, Covid, about vaccinations, election tampering, Hunter Biden’s laptop and more.
But the truth is finally coming to light. How will the population handle this new information? How will history and those involved in what appears to be a long-standing coup be remembered? If you’ve just realized you were duped, don’t beat yourself up…. They have been very good at deception and obfuscation.
Sovereign Thought and Final Judgment
It is time to remove those rose-colored lenses.
When friends or family reject alternative viewpoints but cannot articulate why, what you’re witnessing is not hatred, but programming. Groupthink. Safety in the herd.
A need to belong.
The first casualty of war is truth. The second is sovereignty of thought. We have now seen how lies can become law, and how truth, when buried, eventually burns its way to the surface—even if hidden in a locked FBI room.
Have your opinions and judgments been guided by your inner voice, or by that of politicians, newsroom anchors, and Social Media influencers?
More people are seeing it now, as new discoveries are revealed and released to the public. The truth is coming to light.
“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.
Therefore, take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”
— Luke 8:16–18 / Mark 4:22
Romans 8 states, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”
May you have eyes to see and ears to hear the truth.
And may we all experience Victory of the Light!
