Exposing the Dragon’s Lair
A Look at Government Corruption
Rev Kat Carroll
Introduction
For far too long, it’s felt like the US has been under siege, and indeed it has. But the source that allows this to happen may be difficult to accept… Our own government. Open borders, money laundering schemes, pay to play funding from Big Pharma and other corporations. The worst of all is the smuggling of weapons, drugs and people, for sex, slave labor, and organ harvesting. This is big money and big power.
Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men. – Lord Acton
“All money corrupts, and big money corrupts bigly.” — Oliver Bullough
“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies.” – Groucho Marx 🥸
On a more serious note… Research is underway into individuals (civilian and in government positions), NGOs, non-profits, and allegedly philanthropic groups. USAID has been dismantled. The Education System is getting a makeover.More than 290,000 United States federal civil service layoffs have been announced by the second Trump administration, almost all of them attributed to the Department of Government Efficiency.
There are Non-Government Agencies that also have an impact on government and it’s officials.
ActBlue under scrutiny: Per Elon Musk on X — “ActBlue is currently under investigation for allowing foreign and illegal donations in criminal violation of campaign finance regulations. In March this year Congress began an investigation and 7 ActBlue senior officials resigned, including the associate general counsel.”

ActBlue also came under scrutiny during the early days of Covid and the ensuing riots, especially after the strange death of Georg Floyd. Who was funding Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and staging violent protests in cities? Who or what is ActBlue and who funds it?
ActBlue is a nonprofit political action committee (PAC) that serves as an online fundraising platform for Democratic candidates, progressive organizations, and related causes. ActBlue itself does not provide funding to candidates or organizations; instead, it acts as a conduit that processes and forwards individual donations directly to the intended recipients. How much transparency is available about those intended recipients?
Below is a September 12, 2020 Q post about Act Blue.
ActBlue Overview
ActBlue has raised a staggering $16 billion for Democratic causes since 2004. It charges ~4% in fees and operates as conduit, not as donor or spender. It reports all donor names and amounts for every federal campaign contribution.
Some of the biggest ActBlue donors have been: (click the link to see their donations):
- George Soros — billionaire investor and philanthropist, known for funding progressive causes worldwide. OpenSecrets profile
Some things you should know about George Soros - Reid Hoffman — LinkedIn co-founder, venture capitalist, and major Democratic donor. OpenSecrets profile
- Herbert Sandler — former co-CEO of Golden West Financial and philanthropist. OpenSecrets profile
- Patricia Bauman — heiress and co-director of the Bauman Foundation, funding progressive policy groups. OpenSecrets profile
- Leah Hunt-Hendrix — heir to the Hunt oil fortune, co-founder of left-leaning political networks. OpenSecrets profile

Non-Government Organizations (NGO) Threads of Corruption
- USAID shutdown claims and allegation it operated as a pass-through for elites.
- ActBlue under scrutiny: Allegations of straw donors, foreign funds, and identity misuse.
- Magic mortgage schemes used for money laundering (banks, inflated loans vs. property values).
- Banking angle: alleged compliance failures at large banks; settlements related to Epstein-adjacent activity.
- Border nexus: trafficking revenues (drugs, child exploitation, organ harvesting) → banks → NGOs/political campaigns.
- Policy capture & censorship NGOs: funding networks behind “dis/mis-info” outfits shaping the narrative.

Salary vs. Net Worth: Starter Comparison
How are the stated incomes of individuals so high based on the information available? Where do the additional funds come from?
Member pay baseline: $174,000/year (rank-and-file), higher for leadership. Net worth figures come from public financial disclosures and are estimates within broad ranges.
Ilhan Omar
- Allegation (from transcript): sudden rise from a few thousand dollars to $30M net worth, and claims of marrying her brother to skirt immigration law.
- Official Record: Financial disclosures on file show far more modest assets; no verified evidence of immigration fraud charges. Omar herself has denied the claims.
- Analysis: The gulf between circulating allegations and official filings highlights the transparency gap. Disclosures may not capture all flows; allegations may overstate. The lack of definitive resolution fuels distrust.Post in the Daily Mail
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) – Youngest Woman to serve in Congress
- Claim (unverified): AOC’s Net worth could be $30 million Denied by NY Democrats
- Official Record: Her public financial disclosures reflect relatively modest assets and liabilities for a Member; no verified evidence of “multi-millionaire” status appears in official filings. $177K annually plus $3,000 in living expenses
- Status: Unverified.
Nancy Pelosi
- Allegation: Household investments, particularly in NVIDIA, exemplify insider trading and conflicts of interest, timed to legislation affecting the semiconductor and AI sectors.
- Record: Pelosi’s net worth was estimated at ~$115M in 2018 (OpenSecrets), ~$120M in 2021 (Investopedia). Disclosures confirm Paul Pelosi purchased $1–5M in NVIDIA options in 2021, just before Congress passed the CHIPS Act subsidizing semiconductors.
- Analysis: NVIDIA became central to AI and deep fake development as early as 2016–2017, with its GPUs fueling media controversies. The Pelosi household’s major move into NVIDIA in 2021, as subsidies loomed, looks uncanny. While no charges have been filed and Pelosi denies wrongdoing, the optics fuel distrust and sharpen calls for a congressional stock-trading ban.
Commentary on Fact-Checking
Fact-checking itself has become politicized. Many outlets are funded by foundations, corporations, or partisan donors; once readers sense bias, every denial becomes suspect—even when true.
Transparency or Mirage? Why Financial Disclosures Are Weak
- Self-reported: Members of Congress fill out forms themselves. There’s no requirement to attach tax returns, bank statements, or brokerage records.
- Ranges, not precision: They only have to choose a bracket — $1k–$15k, $15k–$50k, $50M–$100M.
- Minimal enforcement: Ethics Committees “review” filings, but penalties for lying or omitting are usually small fines. Rarely prosecuted.
- Delayed oversight: Disclosures are filed annually; by the time information is public, trades or transfers may already be long settled.
The Offshore Loophole
- Foreign trusts, shell companies, family accounts: Assets can be titled to a spouse, adult child, or “family trust” abroad. If the law doesn’t require reporting it, or if the Member claims not to “control” it, it may not appear.
- Known havens: Cayman Islands, Panama, Luxembourg, and newer digital havens (crypto wallets, anonymized LLC chains).
- Investigative blind spot: Watchdogs like OpenSecrets can only track what’s filed. They can’t subpoena offshore records. Leaks (Panama Papers, Pandora Papers) are exceptions.
What it means: The truth is, we don’t know. Unless a whistleblower leaks tax records or an independent investigation seizes documents, the public only sees what a politician chooses to reveal.
Congress & Pay-to-Play via:
Influence Pipelines
- Lobbying → Member: PAC and Super PAC contributions.
- Revolving door: Staffers turned lobbyists, lobbyists turned staff.
- Extra perks: Speaker fees, book advances, nonprofit boards.
Sector Hotspots
- Big Pharma: Dollars vs. votes on drug pricing, liability shields, mandates.
- Defense/Intel: Contractor donations vs. foreign aid and arms packages.
- Big Tech/Media: Contributions vs. antitrust posture, censorship partnerships.
- Finance/Wall St.: Donations vs. deregulation, bailouts.
International Ties
- Family stakes & trips: Spousal/child corporate roles; official travel with unofficial business add-ons.
- Case Study: Hunter Biden & Burisma (2014): After Ukraine’s Maidan Revolution, Burisma recruited Hunter Biden at up to $50,000/month. His father—then Vice President Joe Biden—was spearheading U.S. policy in Kyiv. Whether or not influence was explicitly sold, the optics suggested monetizing crisis.
- Case Study: Pelosi Delegation to Taiwan (2022): When Speaker Pelosi visited Taiwan during semiconductor negotiations, she brought her son, Paul Pelosi Jr. Family investments in firms like NVIDIA raised eyebrows. Again, official power intertwined with private opportunity.
“Open Borders” Voting Cohort
- Construct a vote set: DHS appropriations riders; border barrier funding; asylum amendments; E-Verify expansions.
- Output: A matrix listing Members, donations from immigration-advocacy NGOs/industry groups, and roll-call positions.
The Vanishing Archive
The deeper one digs into corruption, the more often links lead to “Server Not Found.” Some losses are innocent — expired hosting or poor archiving. But the pattern is too consistent to ignore: articles critical of entrenched interests vanish more frequently. Whether by accident or design, the effect is the same: the record is erased, accountability harder, memory shortened.
Tips for Independent Research:
- Use the Wayback Machine (archive.org) to recover deleted or altered pages.
- Save local copies of FOIA releases, PDFs, and filings.
- Consult alternative video/news platforms (Bitchute, Rumble, Odysee).
- Diversify search engines — try DuckDuckGo, Brave, or Swisscows.
- Track donations/votes with OpenSecrets, FEC.gov, LegiStorm, GAO/OIG reports.
History Repeating?
In 1933, a foiled conspiracy by business leaders nearly toppled FDR, launching a fascist coup. Known as the Business Plot, it was credible enough to warrant sworn testimony from Marine Gen. Smedley Butler before Congress. The McCormack-Dickstein Committee confirmed elements of the scheme, yet over time the episode slipped from public memory.
Fast forward to January 6: a violent surge at the Capitol, backed by factions of power and wealth, again raised questions about how fragile democracy can be when elites feel threatened by reform. Jonathan M. Katz, in Gangsters of Capitalism, draws direct parallels between Depression-era plotters who feared FDR’s New Deal and modern players resisting systemic change.
History repeats when it is forgotten. If past coup attempts can be erased, so can today’s crises — leaving the public unprepared for the next cycle.
Conclusion
History shows us cycles of climate change, human conflict, and financial upheaval. Gregg Braden notes we haven’t seen this kind of convergence in 5,000 years. But here we are. If a reset is coming, let’s envision one with a better outcome than the World Economic Forum, Davos and the One World Order architects had imagined.
The Earth is self-sustaining if we stay out of nature’s way. The rest we can co-create with imagination, positive intent, cooperation, and compassion; even the wise use of AI as a partner in transparency and accountability. These are the tools that restore sovereignty and dignity for all.
