We live in a wondrous time. Within arm’s reach, we have access to endless information on any and every subject, including the lives of our friends and family. Whether we spend our time scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, one thing is for certain — this seemingly wasted time serves to help us release the stresses of the day and enjoy a good laugh or two.While millennials are constantly criticized for what older generations perceive as a lack of involvement and initiative in making this world a better place, this is not based in fact, and it’s thanks to us that we have access to the ever-popular meme: a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users.

I am therefore happy to say a nice thank you (and you’re welcome) for millennials creating the hilarious images that are splayed across our screens.

While some may argue that this part of the internet serves only to distract us from important matters, I think it’s safe to say that, amongst all the terror and natural disasters highlighted on the news every day, a little daily humour never hurt anyone.

If there is anything the following memes have in common, it’s that we can all relate when it comes to our spiritual journeys — our expectation of the process certainly don’t match what actually transpires and, while life can be a little tough, there is purpose in it all!
