Steve, you are a deep thinker. I also pondered how the (end) situation can unfold. To me it has to be a stepping stone to prevent chaos, but once the world’s fiat money has been revalued and stabilized (haircut), then you start introducing hidden technology. For example, you could completely tear down the whole utility industry with an esoteric device that plugs into your electric panel, and “wah lah”, you have free unlimited energy for life. That’s a game changer for the economic system! Again, if you introduce a free esoteric healing device to everyone and …”wah lah” you just put 1/6th of the entire economic pie in the trash that represent the allopathic medical community. If any of this is true, it will be much different. Simple barter will be the way to go.
I think the goal is to take the control of the financial systems away from the ‘bad’ guys.
Why are we still talking about financial systems? If the current system, controlled by the elites, is replaced we are still mired in some kind of financial system bounded constraints. These constraints in any kind of financial systems will still be based on scarcity of resources. However, if true, we are also about to be introduced to hidden secret technologies and knowledge that promise to remove all current constraints, e.g. scarcity of necessities: Clean water, healthy food, curing of any disease, human rejuvenation, human regeneration, shelter, and energy. All of these needs will no longer be scarce (or shouldn’t be if things go correctly with disclosure and future planning). If we no longer need to toil for our necessities, we should be able to live without an economic system.
Is this too idealistic? I want to live fully free to do as I please, as long as I don’t impinge on the freedoms/free will of others. We should all be able to do this with secret technologies and knowledge released. I especially like the Open Source Engineering ideas where anyone should be able to contribute to each persons abilities. Anyone, regardless of contribution should be able to access the open source technologies and reap the benefits without any costs.
There will be endless details to work out but our current institutions are inadequate and frankly designed for enslavement, including economic systems – so why are we still discussing a new economic system (gold backed currencies, etc), unless it’s a stepping stone to a society no longer bound by needs and slanted population control systems.
