Duality and it’s True Purpose

By Rev. Kat Carroll

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.  God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

In a way, “God” created the first duality, separating light from the dark.  And he saw it was good.

Nature has a way of keeping things in balance, dark and light, good and evil, up and down. Even magnets have a negative and positive polarity as does our planet. It seems to me that duality is normal and natural. If you believe in the creation story, all things started as One. I wonder if the schisms in society are struggles to get back to the center, to one, to some form of unity, but without the wisdom in the seeing benefits to some polarities.

According to the Bible, when God created Adam, he gave him all the animals to name and care for, along with all the plants.  But Adam was lonely and needed a helpmate. Woe to man when woman was created! Eve livened things up by not following God’s orders and listened instead to a serpent who tricked her.  No more easy days in the Garden of Eden, they were banished to fend for themselves. Perhaps the change in plans were not so much for Adam and Eve but for God who needed a bit of drama and entertainment.

When I was creating an image for this article, my sense of humor kicked in and I recalled the riddle, “What’s black and white and red all over”?  A newspaper of course!

Humor aside, a lot of what we’ve been seeing in the news has been more of a tragedy than a comedy. But that also depends on your perspective.  What may infuriate one person may be comical to another.

As a kid growing up at home, we waited patiently for our parents to finish reading the various sections of the newspaper we wanted to see (usually the funny papers), but also to scan for topics of interest.  There used to be a more balanced selection between the drama and Ha Ha or Ah Ha articles.  You could see who died in the obituaries, who was getting married, who had a baby, the local sales and fun events you might want to go to. It wasn’t a constant barrage of violence, war, and economic woes.  Trouble with Presidents and politicians was not a day-to-day affair as it is today unless we’re talking about Bill Clinton in January of 1998. By the way, this month of January, 2023, marks the 25th year of that scandal.

Why the shift to only reporting terrible and frightening news?

I’m going to say that what follows is my opinion on duality, based on personal observation.  For one, how can you appreciate the good and beautiful things in life, if you don’t have the contrast of bad and ugly? (And it’s still subjective.) If you noticed the black and white yin & yang symbol in the cover image, there is a bit of each color in the other side.  It shows that in the good, there is usually a touch of bad, and in every bad situation, (or person), there exists a bit of good. The trick is in balancing the energies. There is a lot more to the symbol and a link is posted under sources if you’re interested in learning more about this ancient symbol.

There is a lot of talk about ending divisiveness, but I see it as trying to force an end to duality. The image of Baphomet comes to mind. Currently seen as a symbol of Satanism, it has also been known  as a deity that represents the sum of the entire universe and all its opposing forces. It contains aspects of male and female, the wings of an angel (or fallen angel) a dark and light crescent moon and the staff of Hermes with the entwining serpents, or caduceus, a symbol of healing.

Ending duality is seen with transgender topics which have been a large talking point this past year. If you were born male and want to make the change, it’s okay. The same goes for those born female who feel more comfortable acting or surgically altering themselves to become male.  Notice that the word male, is in both gender descriptions, that some universities want us to forgo.  Gender terms are descriptive and a choice. We all have some traits of the other gender within us. Be what you want to be as long as you don’t hurt anyone or force your preferences on others who may be perfectly happy as “he or she” is. Honor free will.

Just as in the story of Goldilocks, we strive to find that which is not too cold, not too hot, not too hard, not too soft.  We want things “just right”. Just right is, however, subjective to the individual. Who are we to judge?

There are political arguments on who’s better, the Republicans or the Democrats. Both sides have valid arguments and both sides have some ugly history. There’s good and bad in both.

What about race? Does it really matter if your black, white, red, brown, or any shade of the rainbow if you’re human? Personally, I love the diversity of life forms and the beautiful differences in our cultures. It keeps life interesting.

Taking that concept a step further, the world has been learning there are races of beings visiting our planet, and likely since the time life emerged on Earth. The military tends to see them as a threat while many experiencers find them benevolent. Although some have claimed horrific abduction experiences, Whitley Strieber in his book Communion, made it clear that your fear is what may color your perception and the experience. My experiences have been positive because that is my mindset and expectation.  We may be spectators in what happens, but we may also be the script writers of our own stories based on what we want to experience.

Comedy and Tragedy masks (as seen in the main image), one laughing and the other crying, have been a symbol of the theater for more than 2,500 years. They harken back to 535 BC in the city of Athens. They represent the range of human emotion, or extremes of the human experience.  Without the extremes and contrast, movies, TV shows and our lives would be boring.

The Georgia Guidestone monument was an example of duality.  On one  hand, the writings were about preserving the planet and keeping a perpetual balance. On the other hand, before it was destroyed on July 6, 2022, it had included a statement that would require the elimination of three quarters of the population so we could live in that perpetual balance with nature.

I’m not going into the details of Georgia monument as we have talked and written about it extensively. However, I have included a link at the end of this article for those unfamiliar with the history of the guidestones.

What about Covid-19. Was it a great evil perpetrated by man, or nature’s way of seeking balance? Trying to explore this topic is a lesson in futility as there are two very distinct stories being presented in media. One stating covid was a bioweapon while the other argues it was natural. The same goes with whether the vaccines are safe, effective and stops the spread of the disease, or that they have caused more harm than good.  But what if there is a different overall perspective, one that is more metaphysical in nature?

While we were all being frightened out of our wits with what was being called a novel corona virus or Covid 19, the planet was having its own Corona cleanse under new planetary alignments.  What a coincidence that the sun has a corona that we can see during an eclipse and that the crown of our head is in Latin, corona.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven… – Ecclesiastes 3:1

Many people are experiencing a physical, emotional, and mental cleansing, as old energies and toxins that no longer serve a good purpose leave our bodies. The new solar activity is creating ascension symptoms, not necessarily illness, but a recalibration of our nervous system.  This has included sleep disturbances, headaches, dizzy spells, body aches and such, but none that last for long. Just as the seasons change, this too shall pass, and solar cycles are as normal as the turn of the seasons. Turn, Turn, Turn, The Byrds (Released Dec. 6, 1965 – A time of great changes.)

Each new increase in solar activity also effects human consciousness, either in a negative, or positive way, depending on the individual. Those who practice mindfulness meditation seem to benefit the most while those less mindful are at risk for physical and mental health crisis.

When football player Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills had a heart attack during the game on January 2, 2023, I admit that I wondered if his Covid vaccination booster had caused myocarditis. Mainstream media used tactics from the Event 201 playbook to combat theories that might spark vaccine hesitancy.  They stated it was too early to speculate and irresponsible to suggest that it could be the cause (while not denying it was a possibility.)  But what I found very interesting was that his astrological chart showed something tremendous was to happen to him on that very day.  Subsequent studies of charts, including my own, showed accidents or major life changes coincided with specific planetary alignments. Was it meant to happen in order to draw attention and public concern? It sometimes feels as if we are all actors in a play, each with our own roll in the drama.

Whether it was the booster that caused his heart and lungs to fail, or if it was a freak condition, it was already charted.  Look at the good it caused in having a charity he was funding suddenly have millions of dollars pour in for the cause.  The event certainly galvanized both teams and all spectators who stopped everything to send prayer and goodwill to the stricken player.  It didn’t matter what team he was on; he was a fellow athlete. His near-death experience puts things in perspective.

As awful as the Covid lockdowns were, the benefit was time to look inside, explore what really interested us, and to have time to connect with others. Dark/light, good/bad…. Perspective!

Let’s consider some of the best music in the world. It moves you, right? The highs and lows, sharps flats and even the dissonance, cause an emotional response. What if Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5  in C minor (as heard in Austin Powers Goldmember movie and numerous uses in cartoons) was literally only one note, C minor? Pretty boring, right?  Music, like our emotions, needs to climb, fall, and change rhythm to keep you engaged and in motion, or invoking emotion. This is true with everything in life if you really think about it..

Duality can be the catalyst that shakes things up when they become stagnant. When a system falls apart, such as what we are seeing in world governments, the medical industry, and financial systems, these are signs that change was needed to bring about something new and better.  Even climate change fits in to this.  I’ve been thinking that if global warming gets any worse, I’m going to freeze to death!  Nature is working on finding its own equilibrium after decades of climate manipulation. Things will settle down, much like a pendulum that swings back toward the center, or a rubber band that snaps back after being over stretched.

It is my hope that all of us will experience a major snap back to a more beautiful way of living in harmony with the land and each other.  What matters most is that we as individuals find the balance first within ourselves, that will be mirrored outwardly to the world.

While you’re waiting for that perfect celestial alignment event to occur, remember, you are watching a show. All the drama, comedy, tragedy, horror and humor is there for your entertainment and to spark new perspectives on how you may want to live in the world. The diversity is what makes it beautiful.

The piano keyboard consists of black and white key which produce the sharp and flat notes, beautiful consonance or tension filled dissonance. The choice is yours in what you want to experience.  I’ll leave you with a song from 1982, Ebony and Ivory with Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder.

Whether you are a spectator or player in the game, life will have its ups and downs, twists, and turns, as well as happy and sad moments.  Strap in and try to enjoy the ride. The more harmony and love you bring to the song, the show, or the ride, the better it will be for you, and everyone on the journey with you.

I've been interested in all things related to metaphysics, parapsychology, spirituality and anything related to space since childhood. I'm the kid who used to let the Jehova Witness and Mormans into the house so I could ask a million questions. I've always wanted to be of service and ended up working as an EMT and later in law enforcement. A family job transfer lead me to Washington State for 5 years where I went back to studying spiritual phenomenon and meeting some fascinating people. I've had several initiations, was taught energy healing and became certified in Reiki III over the final 3 years. I had a larger awakening and understanding of how it Reiki worked, remote sensing and more after returning to CA in 2001. I love researching and now writing and being a spokesperson for benevolent contact with NHIB through the practice of meditation. I experienced a spontaneous healing and not long after the "quickening" of 12/21/2012, began having more paranormal experiences, including seeing the UFOs, and orbs that fly over at night. I'm also a volunteer /Admin for ETLetsTalk and love teaching others how to make that connection that I know will one day lead us out of the darkness and into a brighter future.

  1. I have been trying to dispel dualism most of my life and your mistake is the fundamental flaw I see everywhere.
There is no darkness without light so light is the creator of dark. All is created from the ONE creator which is the light in everything. Our consciousness creates all duality as a self preservation instinct. Self-preservation is an attribute of the will of the ONE creator. There is a Sufi commentary that God the Creator divided himself in order to see himself from the many points of view in His creation. This is the purpose of everything and the Will of the Creator is reflected in everything because all is part of the ONE creation.

  2. Wow, so awesome sister… You created a great way for people to at a minimum start asking questions, not only about their surroundings but themselves as well…

Much love and respect for what you do!..
