New Age Myths and Distortions

While many of us may have benefited from New Age spiritual groups and books over the years, I feel it’s important to look closer at some of the assumptions and beliefs of the New Age movement and identify myths or distortions that can hold us back in our spiritual and personal growth.  There are a number of spiritual teachers that I respect that have discussed this, but I wanted to highlight the work of Xi EarthStar by sharing this video of hers entitled “I’m Leaving the New Age…”:   https://www.youtube.com/live/_IdFLPzcaV8?si=DR6O3ORZKuW4sPht

As a member of Xi’s EarthStar Academy for the past 2 years, I’ve watched dozens of hours of videos in the Academy’s curriculum and participated in many workshops and Oracle healing ceremonies.  This has all helped me in my spiritual development and led me to challenge many of my old spiritual viewpoints, both New Age and otherwise.

Here are some New Age themes and topics that we can explore during our call:

• Mother-Father-God is all good, so there is no evil and we can just ignore things like child trafficking and financial corruption, etc.
• Humans don’t have any shadow side so we should just focus on Love and Light and never look at past trauma or “negative” emotions.
• Everyone has a Soulmate or twin flame, and you will always feel incomplete until you connect with them. Once you find your soulmate or twin then everything will be easy and blissful.
• “I’m already living in 5D and I don’t need to worry about things like money or having a place to live…” Xi calls this ‘spiritual airhead syndrome,’ being completely untethered.
• You can manifest whatever you want (a Ferrari, a mansion, etc.) and you don’t need to worry about whether it serves God or benefits others at all.
• The Lunar Feminine: Men are here only to serve women/be drones, women are more spiritual and more advanced.
• Time doesn’t exist, so you don’t need to worry about planning ahead or learning skills to build the kind of future that you are envisioning.
• Our bodies are not important at all; we just need to transcend the physical and focus on psychic and spiritual abilities/just focus on the upper chakras and ignore the lower three.
• God is all loving so He will always coddle you and never really challenge you
