“Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to a sustainable energy future by creating products that are so compelling, there is no alternative.”
A solar roof on your home is quite compelling, I’d say. Tech giant Elon Musk announced yesterday on Twitter that orders could begin for this game-changing technology. In a later tweet he reveals the solar roof panels will also be available internationally, promising to roll them out later in 2017 in the U.S. and then overseas next year.
Harnessing the power of our sun is most definitely in our future, so why not use our home as a personal utility? Tesla has clearly recognized the need for a roof that is simultaneously affordable, durable, beautiful, and integrated with battery storage. The result is a built-in Powerwall that allows solar energy to be collected and stored during the day and used at anytime, even if the grid goes down.
Cheaper Than a Regular Roof
Having a solar roof can help us ween ourselves off of utility companies. While the upfront costs are high, it essentially pays for itself, so it’s ultimately cheaper in the long run, saving you from costly electricity bills. And in an effort to be transparent, their solar roof calculator helps us determine initial costs.
From the road, it looks like a regular roof. It features both solar and non-solar panels, their combination depending on how much energy the household actually uses. If the household also has an electric car, then more solar panels may be required.
Infinite Warranty
As if that weren’t enough, Tesla has taken things one step further. They are so confident in the design and durability of their panels that they have promised a remarkable warranty: “Made with tempered glass, Solar Roof tiles are more than three times stronger than standard roofing tiles. That’s why we offer the best warranty in the industry – the lifetime of your house, or infinity, whichever comes first. Watch our hail test video to see how we take durability to a whole new level.”
Beyond revolutionary, this really sets the bar high when it comes to establishing trust between company and consumer.
Clean Energy
It’s no secret that energy consumption and its costs are looming in our future. That is precisely why disruptive technology like this is so important for us to have options and better ways of living. While solar technology is great and will drastically change the way we live, not all homes are ideal for solar panels. But there are other sources of energy out there like magnetic, that are slowly starting to make their presence known. Here at CE, some of our team members have tested and seen with their own eyes clean energy being produced with the use of magnets and copper coil. You can check out NOCA clean energy for more on that. Solar and wind technologies are great, but there are far more advanced options that render those ones useless.

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful announcement regarding the new Tesla technology with us. This is very exciting news indeed! My concern, however, is the issue of the ongoing and relentless operation of so called “Chemtrails” or “Geo-Engineering”. The article states: “Harnessing the sun is most definitely in our future …..” and my comment is that with the constant filtering out of the sun through the use of Chemtrails, how does this affect the performance of these magnificent solar tiles? I live in an area of Canada where we had the greatest amount of sunshine hours throughout all of Canada, and in the last couple of years (really much longer but now very intense) we rarely see the sun at all. We can start with perhaps an hour or two of sunshine in the morning, the “veil” of silvery thin hazy cloud moves in along with the distinguishable criss-cross grid, then clears off at night, then it starts all over again the next day. We are talking about the loss of sunshine in a prairie province where during the summer we would have day after day of 10 – 12 hours of sunshine! In view of this, has or is there anything being done to stop this practice? I am so interested in all this great new technology, however, if it is being interfered with a negative intervention then how can we circumvent this issue? Thank you so much for listening to my concern.
