An NFL entertainment lawyer, who has worked for the corporation for more than 15 years, has been found dead in New York City hours after telling reporters that Super Bowl LII is “rigged.”

Dan Goodes was found dead in his hometown of New York City in what early reports described as an “gangland-style execution”, hours after blowing the whistle on the “rigged Super Bowl” backstage at a promotional event in Minneapolis.

Early reports claim the 49-year-old was found shot dead in a 2017 BMW 2 Series, along with one other man, believed to be a close friend.

Goodes, an entertainment lawyer who worked at the National Football League’s Park Avenue headquarters, had been representing the NFL in Minneapolis, working alongside Eagles and Patriots franchise staff on promoting Sunday’s Super Bowl featuring the two teams.

However Goodes went “off-script” in Minneapolis and was “physically removed” from the premises by security staff, but not before publicly condemning the NFL as “totally corrupt” and claiming the Super Bowl is “fixed.”

Telling reporters that he is a “football fan first and foremost, and a lawyer second”, Goodes said “Football in America in 2018 doesn’t need another rigged Super Bowl. We need a great match. Not another rigged result that doesn’t pass the sniff test.

“I like money as much as the next guy. But I like football more. I can’t stand by and allow rampant greed and cynicism to destroy the game I love. The little boy in me won’t allow it.

“Football in America won’t recover from this.”

National Football League Headquarters, Manhattan: Dan Goodes was found dead in a BMW 2 Series and now an NFL spokesman is refusing to confirm or deny he worked for the NFL.

Early reports stating Goodes had been shot dead in an “gangland-style execution” in New York City have also been scrubbed from the internet, but not before alert readers captured screenshots of the story.

According to Goodes, the NFL have organized a “rigged game” that will earn “maximum revenue” for the league, and hundreds of millions for broadcasters and advertisers, but will leave increasingly jaded Americans with a bad taste in their mouth.

“This is the biggest scam in sports history,” Goodes said in Minneapolis, according to reports.  “The Super Bowl is already completely scripted out.”

“How do I know it’s scripted? I’ve read the damn thing.“

“You need to understand the NFL is a $35 billion shared revenue corporation. Outcomes can’t be left to chance. Total league revenues are shared equally by all franchises, so they don’t care who wins or loses. Let me be perfectly clear here. It doesn’t matter to the franchise owners. It doesn’t matter to the players. But it matters to the league. Outcomes have been fixed to maximize profits ever since my early days here.”

“The sad thing is that it’s legal. Can you believe that? It’s legal thanks to guys [entertainment laywers] like me.”

Explaining that the NFL is officially registered as “entertainment,” Goodes said “The NFL has more in common with WWE than you could possibly imagine.”

The NFL possesses an Anti-Trust Exemption to the law granted to it by President John F. Kennedy, which ultimately allows the NFL to classify itself as “entertainment” rather than sport, as well as incorporate itself as a single entity, instead of the 32 separate “franchises” they would want you to believe.

In a 2004 lawsuit, the NFL argued they are not a collection of 32 teams in competition with each other. They argued they are a single entity, providing “entertainment” in the marketplace, and as such they are not subject to Anti-Trust laws.

The only other “sport” that occupies this legal position is the WWE.

How are games rigged?

According to Goodes, the fat cat franchise owners and their pampered players do not care who wins, as long as they continue reaping the lucrative financial benefits provided by the system.

“Have you ever stopped to wonder how Vegas makes the point spread line and over under so close every week? There is not one game where the result totally blows away the point spread or the over under. It doesn’t happen. Are they that good? Hell, no they’re not. Even the best of the best cannot get it so close every single game. So how is it fixed?

“Refs manipulate who wins for the overall benefit of the NFL. The NFL splits its revenue between teams, so do the players care? I’m telling you now, they don’t care. What player would care if they get an extra $5 million when the salary cap goes up thanks to more revenues built on scripted outcomes?”

“The players have an awareness about it and the refs also make penalty calls in key situations to manipulate the score and outcomes.”

“How come zero players call out the refs? How come zero coaches call out the refs, despite the outrageous calls that change the results of games?”

“Everyone is on the same side, that’s why.”

According to Goodes, people do speak out. But nobody wants to hear.

“Remember the Harbaugh Bowl? Arthur Blank, the Atlanta Falcons owner, admitted the results were fixed.

“It is predetermined that these two teams would be here, I was my team was selected to be in the Super Bowl.”

“And the NFL admitted it themselves in court. “We are entertainment and we can manage outcomes as we see fit. We’re exempt.”

Super Bowl LII will be the 52nd Super Bowl and the 48th modern-era NFL championship game, contested between New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday.

    What NFL team played in Canton, Ohio???

    The “Bulldogs” (at the time an unofficial nickname, hence quotes. A later iteration would be officially called Bulldogs).

    Now, the Bulldogs went belly up after they were accused (merely *accused*) of rigging the games against the Massillon Tigers for the Ohio crown. The last game of that season against Latrobe, PA, was boycotted to the point they could barely buy their train tickets home.

    So what? While not “proof” of anything, the irony is thick. The conversation in 2019 is about the NFL being rigged while the NFL HoF is in the town of a team that rigged games.

    THE NFL HAS *ALWAYS* RIGGED GAMES! First through players, then when player salaries increased, through officials.

    Just a small sampling of games that were “rigged” (at least in who played).

    Super Bowls III and IV. The AFL had to be seen as an “equal” for Congress to approve the merger and the NFL to avoid anti-trust issues. The Jets and Chiefs have not appeared in the Super Bowl since. This is NOT coincidence. Two factoids: Hank Stram (Chiefs’ coach) predicted the winner of every Super Bowl correctly until his death. Roger Goodell was in Lamar Hunt’s front office early in his career and is well aware of whatever deal was made back in 1968.

    After the merger, 3 teams went from the NFC to the AFC to make it even. Browns, Colts, and Steelers.

    The Colts won Super Bowl V.
    The Steelers (formerly league doormats) won 4 Super Bowls in the next decade.
    The Browns were good at the time and the NFL had no reason to believe they also wouldn’t make (and win) a Super Bowl as payback.

    Who were the NFC teams in the 1970’s Super Bowls?

    Mostly:

    Vikings (originally the 8th AFL franchise which the NFL lured away, replaced by the Raiders) and the Cowboys (a 1960 NFL expansion club put in place *specifically* to undermine the AFC founder Lamar Hunt’s Dallas Texans (to become the KC Chiefs)).

    The teams playing in (and sometimes the winner of) the Super Bowl have been hand picked as long as there has *been* a Super Bowl.

    The AFC dominated the 1970’s. Is anyone surprised the NFC then *had* to dominate the 1980’s to even the record between conferences.

    Oh, I know. It’s all “coincidence.”

    Just like Scott Norwood missing a kick so the NFL had the Bills in the next three SB’s desperately trying to get one of the great QB’s from the best draft class ever a ring.

    When that failed and Elway announced his retirement, the Broncos went from 3rd in the AFC West to wildcard on the “worst” officiating to that date. Then as wildcard, went to the SB where, love and behold, the Packers STEPPED OUT OF THE WAY FOR THE GAME-SEALING TD.

    Y’all remember that, right?

    And who played the red-white-and-blue Patriots after 9/11? Why, coincidentally, those same patsy Packers!

    (And it was “Boston Strong” that propelled the Red Sox from worst to first to WS Champions after the Boston Marathon bombing, right?)

    The NFL replayed the Elway retirement years later when Peyton Manning retired, btw.

    Not long after the Saints returned to NO after Katrina, they won a SB, too.

    Seems fan base sentiments can will teams to certain victory!

    Or it makes for good TV ratings.

  5. I’m a Saints fan and like other Saints fans I was very upset . We all have our ideas about it being rigged and have to remember it’s not about us but about how much money can be generated for owners , markets , Vegas and players. The New Orleans market has about 600 to
    700 thousand TV households to where Los Angeles has somewhere around 7 million so do the math on which team in the Super Bowl makes more money for the NFL entertainment business. So by now you should know who’s going to win the game also , it’s a lock in my opinion that the Rams will win due to the amount of money that will be generated with a win ,but I want be watching it I’ll be fishing. College football has very questionable calls also but I still believe most all of it is on the up & ups so to all of us who’s been woke up about Sunday football I recomended finding your favorite Saturday College teams enjoying the games and find something else to do on Sundays like taking up Fishing , Hunting ,Golfing etc . And getting back to church if your not going. I want be watching the Super Bowl cause I’ll be “ Rigging “ up my fishing pole . God Bless and remember we can all find better and more meaningful things to do on Sundays .

  10. My mom is 86 years old and even SHE noticed how MANY games are won/lost in the last 2 minutes….it’s a dirty shame. EVERYONE knows the Pat’s are the ‘annointed ones’. Do some deep research on the Curse of Bobby Layne and find out why the league will never let the Detroit Lions win another title. Bobby Layne broke his leg in several places during the next-to-the-last game of the 1957 season. His replacement, Tobin Rote, helped the Lions trounce the Cleveland Browns in the NFL championship game, all good except for one thing. According to urban legend and lore, the Lions were not supposed to win that game, and the Browns should have won and been the 1957 Champions.

  18. The city of New Orleans adores the Saints and we should be in the SuperBowl. We didn’t lose the game–we were ROBBED. And many of us who love the game will now boycott the NFL in the future. The calls by the refs were so blatant Stevie Wonder could’ve made them. If league is legit, rules should have been followed and there should’ve been a rematch. But no apology, no nothing so evidently the game is RIGGED and thanks to your greed you’ve now ruined such a great past time for our city because no city in the U.S. enjoys a party and knows how to celebrate better than us.   21. I haven’t watched Football in 3 years!! I use to love the game until the kneeling when our national anthem was playing!! That started it and finished it for me for football!! And I always known the games was fixed!! Damn Ray Charles can see that!!!

It’s funny how for three quarters,teams can’t score a touchdown or kick a fieldgoal,but in the fourth quarter, they score three touchdowns, and instead of kicking field goals for the extra point, they score all three extra points by touchdowns to win the game. And yes, I’ve been on to the ruffs for a while now. I watched them protect certain QBS, I won’t call any names. I remember Vick in the play offs on his second year in the league, they were playing the eagles, every time Vick rush for 20, 30,or 40yards, they would call a pussy holding call on the offense. Technically you can call holding on every play if they wanted to. So you can see the team that is supposed to win, won’t get them pussy calls. Finally,, that reff that didn’t make that call on the rams for pass interference, he getting paid . Think about it, the other reff was going to make the call , but he was shut down by the reff that should have made the call. This is the same shit why I don’t watch boxing anymore, in 1989 I watched a Mexican boxer get his ass kicked for 11/5 rounds, until he got a lucky punch in knocking his opponent to the canvas, the opponent beat the count as he stood up, but the reff stopped the fight.   32. I’d say take off all the headphones completely. Delete the communication from the press box to the coaches. Go back to the way football started out or how our break teams do it and simply coach the game man to man from the sideline. That’s what hand signals and body language’s were used for. Or only allow head sets only for coach and quarterback. No communication from the press box. Allow the white hat referes to have microphones to call penalties out load. The press box can only be allowed to stop the game to determine play calling exemptions for instant replay views only and to do that. The controller will have a buttn they press that ignits a buzzing sound over the intercom load enough where everyone can here and to allow the referees to stop the game for the reviewing of the call. My point as to what will confidentually be satisfying to us NFL football loving fans farcertain.

  40. Perhaps a follow up story on exactly how they do it. Specifically, who communicates the script to the refs, coaches and then the players. Most importantly how do they get ALL the players to keep quiet? Seems that would be very important. No single player has ever gone against it?

    Also, snopes has cited that the lawyer in question was not murdered. They are saying it’s fake news. If you stand by the story, then who commits the hits for the NFL? Why not just ban the lawyer from the NFL as they banned the Will Smith film “Concussion” from some theaters? Isn’t this just a creation of conspiracy and the vast amounts of interest and dollars that it generates. Look at the JFK conspiracy. Look at all the money that “conspiracy” has made.
