Are We Evolving?

I would like to extend an invitation to an open call where we consider how we’re changing and evolving towards a better, higher spiritual existence on Earth.

“Me, Myself and I” appear to echo those aspects of us as Humans, Mind, Body and Spirit.  How have these aspects changed over the last five years, or indeed the last year.  Is this accelerating?

I would love to hear what perceptions other people have of their own “evolution” and that of the collective human race.

What can we do to make this transition easier on ourselves and our loved ones?

Mind
Personally, I fell out of a regular habit of meditation some time ago after pursuing it for quite a long time.  I would usually reach a state of calmness and contentment, but I’ve never really felt or experienced a dramatic change of awareness.

However nowadays, I am slipping into mindfulness ad hoc, at no particular time.  I find this is something I can do without trying to set aside time or feeling failure if I don’t.  I find it quite hard to visualise any imagery, however I do perceive colours in my mind’s eye – usually green or purple shapes moving in waves or patterns, somewhat like a Lava Lamp.

I don’t dream, or at least I very rarely remember any dreams. If I do this usually feels like an exceptional event or a sign.

Attention and focus wanders much more than it used to. I don’t tend to remember the details of life with the crystal clarity I had in my 20s and 30s.

Are we a lot calmer?  Are will still prone to worry and anxiety, but coping much better with the events thrown at us?

Is it the overwhelming nature of our World that drives us to being more carefree?
What are you experiences?

Body
Has our body weight and tone changed? It seems it is easier now than ever before to get out of shape. We must fight to stay healthy.

My body is a lot less flexible and not as physically strong as it was a decade ago. I am still relatively fit through regular exercise but it’s an uphill struggle!

Are we much more prone to muscle and joint stiffness. Aches seem to be more prevalent now amongst my friends.

Is this normal ageing?  I suspect there is more to this than just age as our Sun’s solar cycles seem to correlate with levels of fatigue.

I suggest we don’t need to eat as much food to live well.  It is better to consume quality over quantity.

Spirit
Human society and culture has always had spirituality and belief in the unseen. There has always been empathy, and for a few people, alternative views and thoughts.  Have you ever been religious and is this something that’s changing?

Have we become more open with our personal beliefs and more compassionate?  Do we now think it’s acceptable not to follow the herd – is this now desirable in Society?

Are we personally overcoming the self-imposed negativity of standing out from the crowd by thinking differently?

I would like to discuss where we are going and what we can do to align ourselves with a new future of well-being.  What can you add to my list below?

Strategies for the Mind

  • Plan for happiness
  • Choose to be happy
  • Flow with intuition, don’t over think
  • Avoid worrying about world events, news and judgement by others.

Strategies for the Body

  • Exercise, move and stretch
  • Rest and ground your body
  • Detox and stay hydrated. Consider regular saunas
  • Avoid ultra processed foods. Consume organic where possible
  • Try intermittent fasting to feel the difference between hunger and habit

Strategies for the Spirit

  • Be kind, honest, and compassionate
  • Feel gratitude and be of service to others
  • Be authentic, accept who you are with both “good” and “bad”
