Oncologists Accidental Discovery – The Juice That Kills Cancer

Recently, a group of Canadian scientists discovered that there’s an effective herb that can kill cancer naturally and without side-effects in just 2 days!

 Terrific news come from the University of Windsor, where scientists have been examining the effects of dandelion against cancer since 2009. The project started when one oncologist discovered a relation between dandelion root tea and lower risk of cancer.Pamela Ovadje is a post-doctoral candidate at the University who found the benefits of the root. “One oncologist who worked with us, told us the unbelievable improvement in a patient’s daily drinking tea from dandelion root.

We immediately began to investigate this tea to see how other patients respond to it, however we were pretty skeptical. I thought that dandelion grows all over, and if at all there is something great in it, people would have long ago found,” she remembers.

“Since we began this project, we were able to get out of dandelion root extract and use it to many types of human cancer in the lab. In the lab, we observed its effectiveness against leukemia cells, colon cancer and pancreatic cancer, and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. We’ve discovered that dandelion root has extremely strong effect on them without harming healthy cells. Furthermore, studies have validated the efficacy in mice transplanted human cancer cells,” Ovadje says.

Dandelion root extract has been approved for human trials since 2015 and is in the first phase of research for treatment of lymphoma and leukemia. Dr. Sciarra Pandi, a biochemist at the University and one of the leaders on the research, considers the extract one of the most effective natural remedies against the deadly disease.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The extract works by inducing apoptosis in the cancer cells. In simpler terms, it makes the cancer cells commit suicide without damaging the healthy cells in any way. Although the research is still in the beginning stages, it has shown a lot of potential and may be the base for a future treatment.

  1. I love eating chickweed. It is delicious. It tastes like spinach but more mild. Wild strawberry is good. There is vitamin C in pine needles if you make a tea with it. Clover cleans the blood. Mint grows voraciously and it helps with our digestive tract. It can help with gallbladder stones. Milkweed is yummy. In Italy, they throw it in pasta if they come across it. Nature provides for us wherever we are planted. Hmmm, pun intended there.

  2. Dandelion Root has been used for centuries for things like Detoxing the body and is also a tonic for Kidneys and Liver health. I dont doubt its power at all!
    Unfortunately, society is so brainwashed against weeds, they kill valuable medicines all the time!
    “Kill the invasive weeds!”
    Personally, I would rather have a yard full of dandelions, burdock and mullein than a yard with grass and pesticide contamination to kill all the weeds!
    The entire dandelion plant can be used. Root, Greens and Flowers.
    One day soon, these weeds will once again be used by everyone for remedies and healing just like our ancestors and native people did.
    Our family uses plant medicines exclusively. People don’t realize how poisonous these prescription and over the counter meds are. Seems quite obvious to me though…….
    The dandelion and plants like it should be highly valued, not demonized. I mean seriously how stupid is it to worship a lawn and demonize healing plants? SMH

    • Hi Bonnie well said! I must add that I have recently been studying all about PREBIOTICS {to be distinguished from PRObiotics} and how important they are for our good bacteria and digestion etc. One of the best prebiotics is seemingly dandelion leaves which I will be adding to my diet when spring eventually arrives here. Right now on March 20th – spring equinox (our meditation is in about 4 hours time :-)) we have nearly one metre of snow still where I live in Sweden. Its been the longest coldest winter in a long time and no doubt there will be problems with flooding when the ice melts in the mountains etc. There are huge mounds of snow like 6 meters high on corners all over town and the town is busy trying to take lorryloads of snow from these mounds to move it so there is not flooding everywhere. So not sure when we might see dandelions maybe in april – may sometime ! Thank you for sharing Therese Z

      • Hi Therese! Thank You! I live on the front range in Colorado and we have had very little snow this year. I saw my first Dandelion a few days ago. I didnt know dandelion greens were prebiotic rich. That is amazing! Thank you for that info!
